How to tell someone you love them..
Okay, ill try to keep this brief...
Firstly, i have mistaken love before. This feels completely different.
basically, ive known this girl for 4 weeks, then we start going out, and have been for about 3 weeks.
Everything is going amazing, she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. For 3 years (predominatly due to fathers passing)i hated everything, myself, life, etc i was always fucking down and miserable as sin. I meet this girl, spend 2 hours with her on our first date and she makes me more happy than i have been in so fucking long.
In her previous r/ship, she was with this guy for a year, who after a while, kept feeding her the line: 'i love you' just so she would put out, and fuck him. So when valentines rolled around this year, she wrote me something which basically said that she felt the same, but in a different way. She did, however, write 'love c' in which the word love was strongly underlined..
I thought, as its her birthday on march 11th, i would tell her that I love her, but, i dont want it to sound like her ex - because she means so much more to me than just a tap. Also, i want to do it right. As you guys may have guessed im not brilliant in relationships, and as much as this one flows so easily, unlike my previous r/ships, i still need help in where/how/what to say this overused phrase.
In short, i want to know if you guys think this is too soon, if this is the right way to do it etc. Basically, im pretty sure (read: hoping) that she feels the same way, and as ive wanted to say it to her for ages, i thought she might think i was a pushy ass or something..
...and please try to keep the flaming down to a minimum, i am actually asking for help.
Thanks,
Rosso.

quote:r/ship
wow.
anyway, that third paragraph there is pretty confusing, but i think what you're saying is that she implies that she loves you??
it's scary saying you love someone for the first time, but you ARE already going out with her. make sure you just say it at the perfect moment and don't fuck it up, or that may ruin your relationship forever.
if i were you i'd not do it on her birthday because i'd rather that be its own sentimental occasion, but that's just me. make sure you say it near the end of your hang-out session, like when you're taking her home or something.

If it doesn't just feel right, however you want to say it, you probably shouldn't be saying it.

Re: How to tell someone you love them..
Fuck her first and wait awhile to say "I love you."
Or say "I love you" and wait awhile to fuck.
Don't associate the two right away.
Or sit back and realize that the issues that make her wary of love are probably not as strong as the issues that make you think you're in love so soon. Examine yourself and decide if you're truly in love.
Once you find that you are, it will be a lot easier for you to say it. If you know that you won't use it to manipulate her, then you won't, and events will fix themselves as she slowly realizes that you're genuine, and not manipulative.

It does feel right, ive been wanting to say it for so long, but ive been holding back. Plus, i want to tell her first, i can wait for sex its no big deal to me, i want her to know that she means a lot more to me than sex.

Difference between 'I love you' and 'Im in love with you' must be pointed out here for my own sanity.

Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

Re: How to tell someone you love them..
well ill tell you how my boy friend first told me that he loved me and then you might get an idea.
well we were out of town and he pulled me aside and asked me what 'i love you' meant to me. it was so out of the blue i was speechless. then he told me what i love you means to him. (it was priceless i have to say.) and then he was like i love you and i dont ever want you to forget that
hope it helps
