I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
Why? Because I am boring, uninteresting, and simply dont know what I could offer a woman. In regards to women I ask myself why I would be desirable for the long term and I end up thinking...I wouldnt. I would bore any girl before long. Good sex maybe.
What kind of girl wants a guy that doesnt smoke, do drugs, party hard, eats very healthy, and spends his free time just reading and relaxing at home? Ive just got a wandering mind that only wants peace...and no girl now a days wants to have a such a man. No girl wants to stick with that old man in the teenage body. Im just...fuckin weird. Ah man...

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
I don't find you unattractive because you have "clean" habits. I find you unattractive because you are being a twat about it. You aren't worried about being boring. You are bragging about being a "safe bet". And you are looking for approval in that. Someone who eats well and doesn't drink isn't boring at all. A guy that slavishly seeks approval is. Just aim really low, like date unattractive girls with TONS of inner beauty, and you'll probably get rejected there too. I suggest checking out the mail order bride sites.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
specus_meretricis seems to be a least a little on target here; you seem to be bragging. Ostensibly you're denigrating yourself, but in reality I think you think that the problem is with the girls, not with yourself.
As for actual advice... Be more patient. And don't try to appear pathetic to garner attention and reassurance.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
I read somewhere once, that there was a man getting on in his years, and people could not believe he was single and never married, and not looking. The man was wealthy, had everything you could want in life, because he worked for it.
His response? He just didn't see a reason to bother with women, they were a distraction.
And I don't blame him. I've met three types of women so far in life, with one exception: Princesses, slobs, and snakes.
I've been waiting to see someone say that about themselves on this site for a while, because aside from the sleazy-party-lazy exterior, I'm a snore too.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
Mate, you're worrying about things you shouldn't worry about. A man with your qualities can be attractive. A man with your deficits (whinging) might not be.
Work to your strengths and take your opportunities. That's all there is to it. You expect girls to love you out of pity?

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
I'm the same way man. I don't think I've ever met a girl that found reading and getting cozy at home interesting. Society has changed alot in the last decade. Its okay now for young people to go out and get wasted every night, a la Ms. Hilton. People like you and I are perceived as wierd, and no one wants to date a wierd guy; its just not socially acceptable.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
if i was interested in guys, that is the guy i'd be most attracted to.
if girls aren't attracted to you as you are, then they're too immature for you.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
Girls are humans, humans are toddlers. They want something superficially pleasing, aesthetic, just a thing in their peripheral that now and then brings pleasure/ stimulation. The key here is peripheral, if you are in peoples faces they dont want any of it. So this is why being a bad boy works, because bad boys do what they want, they spend their time improving themselves in the way they feel comfortable and this brings a radiance, and since they don't give a fuck about obtaining anything from anybody else, people need to fill this void by wanting to obtain something from them. This is a main aspect of virtue.
I don't know your actual situation but; if you keep going into yourself and figuring you out, spending your resources and energy on improving yourself because you love yourself then people will feel this and smell it and they will desire it. You need to pull your infatuation away from other things. A lot of people are resistant to reacquainting themselves with themselves. It's like a stranger they don't want to look in the face.

Fixed.
Also, yes, I've whined before in my day, but I don't know if you realize how pathetic you sound. I mean, at least I recognize when I'm feeling sorry for myself. You're making excuses for your behavior, none of which are good. I see in your post a hatred for women... Blaming their characteristics for your lack of success. You know, although you seem to portray yourself as an intellectual, you're actually being kind of an ignorant baby.

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
I don't think women are only after people who drink/drugs/party, or else I'd be doing quite well. I read and relax as well. It has been ok for young people to go out and get wasted since before paris hilton was born, doesn't mean thats what you should do, but someone mentioned it.
Change how you think of yourself from 'old man in the teenage body' to "I'm cultured".
Kinda off topic, but does anyone else find they don't really like 3/4 of the people they meet? Male or female, so many people spout so much bullshit, or their mannerisms are just plain annoying. I've tried being more reasonable and understanding, but if I'm not interested in talking about some inane shit then please get the fuck away from me.
"Chao's are really great dogs if you train them well. Mine is 5 years old, and was raised around children which is very important..."
"Man the other night I got so fucking high and I watched Family Guy and there was this one part..."
AAAAGH!

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
the only unattractive thing that you listed is the fact that you're so negative. doesn't it suck to go through life thinking about how hopeless you think it is? if you think that way, what do you have to look forward to?
who put it into your head that girls only like binge-drinking hard partying idiots? get it out, because that's not true. sure, that's a type that some girls--some DUMB girls--might go for. if you just resign yourself to this "fact" you've come up with that no one will ever want to be with you, you're just going to screw yourself over because you'll never look for anything good to happen.

Yeah. Ok, yes. I was being an ignorant baby, and whinging, and pitiful and negative and such. Agreed. Thanks for the insight guys.
Its simply the hopeless romantic sort of desperation that leads to a loss of some hope you know? But with some thought...I realized you guys have the right idea.
hmm

Quit putting the pussy on the pedastol. I presently do whatever I'm allowed to do, whenever I'm allowed to.
Why the allowed to part? Fucking military...
ANYWAYS! Go out, have fun. Work hard, etc.
Women? Eh, you meet one you like, cool shit. Until you do, just enjoy the ride.

To hell if women don't pay attention to you now. Enjoy your youth. Go out and have fun with other guys, or girls who have a similar interests but are still just friends. Just go out and be with other people. It will work out in the end.

Your still young...
Why worry about something that shouldn't come for a long time?
I guess teenage love can give you some experience or confidence...

Re: I dont think I will ever find a lifelong partner...
Actually I'm almost in the same spot as you are. Except I really don't mind being single. I get to do what I love to do. And I'm pretty sure girls really don't like someone who plays Magic: the Gathering, learns to program, listens to Opeth, stays on the computer about wo to four hours a day, and is going to be certified in A+ at the end of this semester. But who cares? It's what I like to do, and if all a girl is going to do is stop me from doing these things, then I don't know if I want to be in a relationship. If you can find something you love to do, then relationships really aren't that big of a deal anymore.
I mean just today I was able to join a Magic tourney and tie for first, something I haven't done in months. And I had a blast doing it, I wouldn't have had more fun play Magic today than doing anything else. Sure, most people see that as a geeky trait and maybe see me as a loser, then screw 'em. Yeah, I'm weird too. In fact most of the friends I have can't even relate to a single thing I do, so I don't even know why I'm friends with them.
I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, go to parties often, obsess with clothes, cars, cell phones, conformity. So what? I do what I like to do, and I wouldn't give it up for the world. I have no desirable traits for women, but I don't care. Hell, there are others with even less desirable traits than me. Maybe there are girls looking for those type of guys. Maybe you can hold up a decent conversation and maybe you're actually mature compared to some other guys. I don't know. Damn man, be happy with what you are. I don't know a lot of guys that do just that.
