Well, the past few nights, when I finally get to bed, I have some fucked up dreams. My girlfriend has appeared in them, killing me in different ways. So far, it's been stabbing me with a meat cleaver while I'm doing dishes, and then last night, she sees me in an alley, she's in her car, so she floors it and runs me down. Should I be worried, or is this just the result of going to bed upset and in an altered state of mind?

Yes! You must kill her before she gets you!

There's lots of things that can be grabbed from this in a psychological sense if you subscribe to the whole Freudian trip.

You could be fearful that your girlfriend is changing you in some irreconcilable way; that she wants control of your life. You could be apprehensive of a violent side of hers, or at least passionately angry. There are many things a shrink can say about dreams.

Or it could be premonitions of your imminent demise if you believe in the psychic trip of things.
