Dating People at Work?
Every Summer i work at this amusement park and it seems like every year there is a fresh supply of good looking girls. I usually go out of my way and become friends with them but nothing more. Every time i think about asking them out or making a step into a gray area all i can think about is if i get shot down everyone i work with will know, and it'd be awkward to work with them again.
At work im usually known as the really nice guy, and really fun to work with but i dont want to mess up my rep. I was just wondering what your opinion was on dating people or making moves on people you work with?

I wouldn't, but a lot of people do.

Re: Dating People at Work?
Eh, most places have rules against that? Official or unofficial. 'Frowned upon'.
But then, an amusement park isn't the same as an office environment really.
If it's a temporary thing you can keep in contact after the summer and when the relationship ends disastrously you won't have to see each other every day.

Re: Dating People at Work?
I wouldn't recommend it. Trust me. There's more bullshit drama at a workplace than at a school. I dated a girl from work. It was the best time of my life and I fell in love with her, but eventually we broke away because of all the bullshit drama.

Re: Dating People at Work?
Why not? I assume you're teen working a summer job, so I wouldn't think it a big deal. If something goes awry, be warned it'll be very awkward.
This is a job, not a career. If this is an important gig, then don't. "Don't dip your pen in the company ink". However, it doesn't seem like it, so go for it.

Re: Dating People at Work?
I guess I have a bit of a bad reputation at work.
A friend and I were in the smoking room in work a month or so ago, and he thought it would be funny to count the amount of girls Ive been through who work in my company.
These were our results... Ive fucked 9, only 2 of which I actually dated. I kissed another 4 but didn't go any further with them. Ive been shot down (sometimes embarrasingly) by 7.
For some reason, though, when I meet a girl I work with while Im out drinking, we seem to immediately hit it off and often end up getting off with each other, if not going the whole way.
So my advise... dont date girls at work! It's a bad idea! Just fuck 'em!

Re: Dating People at Work?
As I say in the Navy "Dont date in your rate"
Dating other rates is perfectly acceptable, because the odds of them becoming your boss are next to none, and they have a different chain of command.
