Default Low Libido...

This is really starting to worry me.

My once relatively normal sex drive has plummeted to next to nothingness. I'm 17 (hitting 18 in a few weeks), and have been working full time for a year. When I was 16 and at school, I was horny quite often. I'd pretty much maturbate daily, after school, and enjoyed some porn while my parents were away.

Work has tired me out heaps, and it's now only a once in awhile thing. I've been with my boyfriend for 8 months now. In the beginning of our relationship (Irrelevantly, while I was living out of home and very much enjoying my newfound freedom) it was just a whirlwind of great sex and oral sex (and by that I mean great oral sex, as sex doesn't really do much for me *Shrugs*). He's the first boy who's ever put any thought into MY pleasure, and he's amazing and I love him.

But lately, it takes my boyfriend pretty much forcing me into anything sexual to get anyway. It's like I just have NO sex drive whatsoever. I love getting him off, but it... I don't even know. I'd rather cuddle. He won't ever admit it, but I think it's starting to get to him.

I eat pretty badly and pretty much never exercise (I'm not a fatty though). I used to LIVE off coffee, and have cut myself back to one a day. I sleep fairly well, though I'm always kind of tired (Still trying to find the balance between enough sleep and too much)

I'm also a little worried since I heard somewhere (Probably here, and I can't remember the respenses to it) that the pill effects the libido, and I'm about to start it.

Does anybody know why this may have happened to me and if there's anything I can do to improve the situation? Any advice at all on the matter would be wonderful.

There can be so many reasons for your lack of a sex drive. Nobody can tell you here why, just guess.

From what I can tell, bad diet and stress.

You're young to have this. My guess is stress and emotions, but if you're really concerned, as I think you are, then talk to your Dr. They DO have medication/remedies for lack of sex drive... It's more common than you think! Google can shed some light on this as well...

It's just a phase. I go through weeks/months where sex is the LAST thing I want. And then one day, all of a sudden, I'm a sex fiend again. Just don't stress about it. Unless it goes on for more than a few months. Then perhaps you should reevaluate your lifestyle, and perhaps see a doctor.

I'm going through the same thing Kimness.

I think it's psychological for me. I have no real interest in it right now. However, when I lay down to sleep I have a few moments where I become aware of an interest. But as soon as I notice it, it goes right out the window.

I've noticed that my appetite is similar too. After just a few bites I don't want to eat anymore food.

Maybe, it's SAD. ?

It fluctuates for everyone, caused by poor diet, stress, emotions and even chemical imbalance. I would try working on your diet and de-stressing first. Then see a Dr. if that does not fix the problem.

Just an idea, you said you are 18? Your body should stop producing the growth hormone beginning sometime between 17-20, that might account for it.

But all that aside, take care of YOU first.

I'd say Omega-3s are a good start. Get enough & go from there.
