Firstly: There are many stages of a relationship. I think she meant she didn't want a boyfriend. There are MANY stages before bf/gf.

She's going to start seeing you. This is where she decides if she wants to date you.

Give her a bit of time, she just broke up with her ex. She's still probably a bit raw. But keep up the good work, being a good guy and all, and you're a shoe in.

To answer your question: No, I don't think it was a kiss out of politeness. I think she's genuinely interested in you. But doesn't want to rush things. She's telling you she doesn't want a relationship as a means of a safety net. If things get a little too deep, and she wants an easy way out, she can tell you that she didn't want a relationship in the first place.

She thinks you are a good guy, and not ugly. Play it smooth and you are in.

Chances are, since you were so nervous, you appeared so as well, so she was willing to forgive your retard kiss and give you a shot at a real one.

Also, it's hard to say whether she is willing to kiss a guy goodnight out of politeness, but in this case, it is almost certainly not the case! A politeness kiss would probably be a quick peck, or even a bit longer.

But two? Come on, she really likes you, no girl would ever do two kisses for politeness!
