Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
So today my girlfriend decided to dump me because she was falling for someone else...I'm happy she didn't cheat on me but at the same time I want to stab myself in the heart for how much it hurts. I have been crying almost all day and hearing her say she will always love me and wants me to always be there for her just makes it worse...I can't imagine how hard it will be for me to see the girl of my dreams comming to me for problems when she is with some other guy who isn't me. It hurts so much, it came out of no where too...just earlier that day we were folling around together and just having fun then BAM I felt like I had been hit with a sledge hammer.
What makes it worse, is this is the first relationship where I have to try and get over her. The first relationship where I haven't been cheated on. All my others it's been a snap to get over, because I hated them so much for cheating on me.
I'm not looking for any advice, but if you would like to give me some, that's great. For anyone who is going to come on here and call me emo, or a pussy or anything else like that. I'll say this now, good for you, think what you want.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
i know how you feel man... been there. but the best you can do it to find another girl for awhile, even temporarily.
You see its the spontaneity of the situation that hurts most. time will assuage your feelings.
Stay strong man.

Pick apart every single one of her flaws, don't look to her as a treasure, but a flawed human as we all are, this is a strategy that has helped me a shitload in getting over girls.

Yeah man. She shits. Just like you. She's dirty. Remember that.
Been in your situation as well.
The only thing that worked for me is distracting my self. Totse helps. Just do what you normally do, but a lot more of it. Dwelling on things wont help.

That's so fucked up. Jesus. Good luck, man.
I guess I'm kinda naive. I can't imagine my girlfriend just saying "well, this other guy..." I ALREADY have an inferiority complex... I'd end up a heroin junky.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
Look life wouldn't be great unless it was bad and love wouldn't matter unless it hurt and sucked the life out of you. What I'm saying is this; even though this may feel like the worst time in your life in fact it probably helped you out more than you could ever imagine.
And I mean how old are you? I'm guessing not more than 18 and even if you are 30 you have only lived 1/4 fourth of your life, if that, so buck up and realize that life is a continual learning process and the love you spread whether returned or not is the only definite thing that matters that you'll ever really have control over.

Most of us have been there...
Early this year, I felt exactly the same way..I would have done anything to get her back..now she repulses me...

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
Hook up with another girl.
My opinion, she is a bitch for leaving you for a jerk who probably makes more money.
Get with another girl, even if she doesn't mean anything to you, that will make her feel like you are 100%percent done with her.
Don't let her have you help her with problems.
She threw away a great meaningful relationship with you for a guy she "fell for".
let her go, you can do better than that quack.

Yeah - we've all been there.
Theres not much to say - you feel like shit, and wondering what you could have done differently, right?
Just move on, keep busy, and remember - it's just pussy.

Fuck that bullshit. That is crap, she chose to dump you, she doesn't deserve you or your attention.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
Thanks alot guys for all your help, and to whomever said it above, I'll be turning 19 soon. I would like to try and have a friendship with her, but i think it will just screw me over in the end.
I took down alot of stuff in my room that reminded me of her, while I was doing so, I got a phone call from her saying she wanted to see me today (only proble, she was all ready out on a date with the guy she fell for)
I said I was busy and that I needed to get ready for work and hung up. I changed my hours at work and starting next week I'll be working almost 5 times a week compared to the once or twice i've been doing now.
I guess I'll have alot more money now...to spend on tattoos or other random stuff lol...
But thanks again guys reading that stuff helped to open my eyes to alot of stuff.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
I'm doing good, she was at my work today, saw her out of the corner of my eye. It took me awhile to notice her...she dyed her hair black... I don't like it. It was kind of wierd to see her there
Anyways, Captn you said to try and replace her almost emediatlyu...well a girl came into work today to get her car looked at. For some reason she wanted me to work on it. I was just finishing up checking someones fuel injection when she came over.
So after I looked at her car I asked her why she wanted me to work on it, she said she thought I was cute in my little uniform. I don't know does anyone else find this kind of odd? Being hit on at a car dealership? lol

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
that my friend is the silver lining within this shit you have been going through.
Perhaps fate is throwing you a bone . Dont hold on too long and let it slip away . Who knows perhaps if you furthured the situation with this new girl it would blow away all the remnants of this bitter old relationship .
I know exactly where you are coming from . I always found reverting back to my primality testoserone fueled male ego would fix things. Just put on some pantera grab some booze and some friends. Things will all come up roses

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
Ohs man that suks!
My ex of 2 years decided to drop me while on a holiday overseas, and had pretty much decided to date another dude before she got home (she dropped me before she got back also) that was pretty shit but got me alot of sympathy from girls for some reason. What really burns me is that I hear she has been saying some shit about me in regards to my treatment of her that is pretty fucked sounding but oh well, anyone who knows me enough to date me will know I am not a cunt.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
Whats shits me is she was all like " you were such a good boyfriend I cant help feeling this way, I still wanna be friends" and all that jazz. Now apparently she is saying shit like "I didn't realise how mean he was untill I stopped dating him". I mean what the fuck we had so many talks about if I do or say shit that pissed her off to tell me and I wouldnt do it again. But oh well I dont give a fuck. Sure there is plenty of shit I could tell people about her but that isnt my style.

Why was she there? Does she work there? Did she have any business there other than to see you?

No she liked you. I hope you got her number?
Good to see you in better spirits today. And the answer is yes, IMMEDIATELY. This is the best medicine for a broken heart. Even if she is not your type, just hang out with her for a couple of weeks. Some might say you are using her and that may be true to a certain extent; however, this really does help ease the pain. Who knows you may really like the rebound girl.
Now, go fuck the chick from the dealership that was hitting on you.
Edit: typos

It's nice to see you are being very mature about it and not pulling that lame "fuck that bitch" shit just to ooze machismo. Stay away from her, her social hang outs, her friends, ect. Until you know you can see her as a friend, avoid her. This might hurt both of you a bit, but in the long run you will be happy you did it. While you are avoiding her, fill your time. Work out, make a list of twenty books you want to read by a certain time. Go on very casual dates or just hang out with your single friends. But never...EVER, sit at home, on your computer or in your room, and do NOTHING. This will only compound the pain and abandonment you feel. Go for a walk, play a very involved video game. Whatever. Just don't curl up alone. All you will think about is her and what you can/could have do/done to get her back. In about a year or so, you will probably be ready to be her friend, especially if you have a new girlfriend by then.

Re: Just not my day....(getting stuff off my chest)
After a break up I noticed you kind of become 'vunerable' sort of. It's actually a really good trait for talking to girls, hehe. I think you should stay friends with your ex, but tell her you don't her to mention this 'new guy'... Ever. It'll keep you out of the loop.
Stay strong,
B.

Everyones saying "we've all been there"...I haven't...well not really. That chick is a stupid slut. And if other chicks have been cheating on you...take alook at the kind of women you get yourself involved with. Pick a respectable girl next time.
