SUP everyone, here is the situation.

I'm about to head off to basic to join the Army. I figured after I get out of the Army, I need to keep in touch right... so i got a myspace account, its free, easy, etc.

well i was looking at my ex's (we are friends still) buddy list and there is this cute chick that plays final fantasy (i play it), likes pink floyd (i love them), and she is hot (i like hot chicks...). So I am gonna try to add her.

what should i say in the first message i send her? i was thinking along these lines:

hey, whats up? i was bored and looking at _____'s friend list (i recognize some of them from high school), and came across yours. is ff7 your favorite game? what other games do you play? i love it, brings back memories of a long time ago.

basically throw some shit in there about the floyd, ask her if she wants to add me since i only got 3 people on my list, but what else?

ok about facebook, is there something i am missing? i can search for people, but i cant click on their pic and look at a bio/other pics or anything. its just 'send message' or 'poke' or other gay shit.

The person has their profile set as private or you both are in different networks.

Just keep it short and too the point. Don't try to add her right off the bat, just send her a quick, cute message. Try to throw in a little joke or something, but nothing that sounds too forced. Don't act desperate.

Here's an example that I used earlier today, in an identical situation to yours with this chick (http://tinyurl.com/23tsmk). At the time she had some artsy pic as her display that only showed half her face. I wrote:

I pretty much, Introduce myself, say somthing about her profile, for example if it's really pink you could say I almost had a seizure looking at it or something.

Then I say something cute about their pics like... You look cute in this one but hey gotta love a girl who... hugs lamp posts. (She was hugging a lamp post) Just as a joke.

Then I'll say Message back. Or Check out my profile.

You can replace that with anything that you want her to do. I.E gimme your msn

This may help..... whenever a guy messages me on myspace.... if he ends his message with "message me back" or if he's american "hit me up" or anything along those lines I think he's giving me orders and therefore I don't reply. The fact you are writing to her implies you would like her to message you back therefore you really don't need to order her about.
