I live 6000 miles away from my girlfriend.
I live in massachussetts, she lives in hawaii. I just moved from hawaii last summer, but i didn't know her then. I met her while i was visiting for christmas break, and we spent all week getting fucked up together with our other friends, then at the end of the week we hooked up for like 2 days straight. it was fucking awesome.
so eventually though the time came when i had to leave and come back to massachusetts, and that was horribly sad. i figured i'd just have to get over it. but, to my surprise, a couple days later she called me and we talked for a while and afterwards i was like holy shit maybe something will work out.
cut to about a month and a half later, we've been officially together for almost a month. i'm going back for a week in april, and then next summer i'm moving back to hawaii for my senior year. basically though, i miss the shit out of her. i talk to her for a few hours a day either on instant messenger or on the phone, and on days when i don't get a chance to talk to her i miss her even more and start to get depressed.
so pretty much, my life now revolves around this girl i never get to see.
no real question or anything, i just felt like sharing. cause really, i'm pretty happy.
i sent her a build-a-bear for valentines day.
she didn't get me anything, but she drew a picture in mspaint that made me go awwwwww.
life is good.

Wait, you're giving a long distance relationship a try without laying a proper framework first?
I'm sorry to say it, but that's doomed to fail.

Re: I live 6000 miles away from my girlfriend.
Damn, and i thought i had it bad.... i've only gor 2500 miles. but hey, we've been together for almost two years now, and in just a couple months i'm moving so we'll be together for good.
I think that's the key to pulling off a long distace relationship - you both need to be insanely committed, and you have to have something in your future to work towards, something that means you'll be together for good some day.

yeah exactly, it wouldn't have worked if i hadn't already been considering moving back.
and as for people who want to see the pic, i'll upload it in a second.

Re: I live 6000 miles away from my girlfriend.
My personal advice would be...don't do it, man. Just read this, at least.
I hung out with a girl in Atlanta when I was in the 7th and 8th grade. I liked her a lot, but never told her. Then I moved to DC in the middle of 8th grade. I went and did my own thing for about a year - dated a few girls, lost my virginity, blah blah blah. Well early freshman year, we start talking again. By the middle of the year, we're talking constantly, literally whenever I'm home. A couple months before the end of 9th grade, she asks if we could 'go out'...I tossed the idea around in my head for weeks. After much deliberation, I said yes. So we did, and for a while, I really enjoyed it. I really loved talking to her. Once school got out, I went to see her, and had the greatest week of my life. Even after I came back, I just really felt like I loved her and I was having a great time. We stayed together through our sophomore year. I couldn't see her during Christmas vacation for a couple of reasons, and we ended up fighting about that for weeks. Finally near our anniversary we settled our differences. Our relationship was a little rocky still until I went to visit again for a couple weeks. It completely revitalized us, or so I thought. I went from iffy about the relationship between me and her to being head-over-heels. Well, we went on and there were enough signs, but I was too into her to realize she wasn't into me. Literally the day before I went back to school for 11th grade, she dumps me for a senior. I was devastated. It took me months to get over her...how someone could 'love' for two years and then throw it away is still beyond me.
I suppose anyone could be like that, long-distance or not, but it just seems like you're setting yourself up with that situation..

403 forbidden? How did that shit make you laugh? Tell her to make you a better picture. I mean, there wasn't even any color.

well, we hooked up about a month and a half ago. it's been official for a little less than a month. i get to see her for a week in about a month and a half, and then it's only 2 months more until i move back. so it's really only long distance for now.

I'd say, good luck but sooner or later one of you may end up cheating on each other, if it happens, you can choose to ignore it or not I dunno.
