So, I've decided it. I'm going to move 520 miles to New York to be with the girl I love, while she graduates and then goes to college. I really love her, and i want to be with her, but I'm reluctant to leave my friends, family, and fire department. I really do feel I'm making the right choice, but with something this big, you can't help but doubt yourself from time to time. So, S&A, what do y'all think?

If you're sure, and commited, which you sound.

Personally, I think it might be best to stay for a good few months without moving everythig over there, just to see how it goes.

dude i broke up with my girlfriend 2 days ago and she asked if there was someone else, and i said no. then a few hours later i hit up this girl i like to talk to, and asked her on a date and she just totally came onto me like a seductress tiger.. it was really cool shit as it was totally unexpected. and i told her she was mine xD all kinds of shit. so really all you need to do is find someone worthy of you, and it's nothing at all to actually live. i haven't talked to her in 2 days as a matter of fact, but still 100% positive every little thing is gonna be all right. unless time screws me xD but it won't.. life's sweet man. just be sweet to it and everything you need comes to you

You are young, you don't have kids (I assume) so why the hell not? The worse thing that can happin is that it doesn't work out and you either move back or find somewhere else. Leaving my shithole state of Michigan was the smartest move I ever made. It showed me just how much better the rest of the world can be and when you go somewhere where you only know maybe one or two people, you truely become independent.

Takes quite a bit longer. It's quicker for me to take I-69 to Port Huron and just cross Ontario.
