Should I be a little annoyed?
Okay, today was Valentine's day. I'm not totally cynical, but it's at least a little special to me.
Anyway, today was mostly good, but we went back to her house, where we layed in bed for a while. I got pretty tired (I shoveled snow today, and had just gotten a big meal). Most the time, I walk home to sleep in my own bed (she lives with her mom).
But tonight, we had powerful winds, freezing outside with a few inches of snow, her mom didn't have to get up for work. But she basically shoved me out to walk home, which is only like half a mile, but still annoying as I was so tired and it was about 12.30.
I mean, most the time her mom has to get up early for work, and "doesn't want to see me around" or something, which I accept. And yes, I understand that it is their house, but still. It's just inhospitable. I would never, never make her walk home in the cold, windy dark after I had just woken her up. I don't even let her walk home alone after dark, and almost never at all.
I think both her and her mom just need to chill the fuck out. I don't make a mess when I sleep over, in fact, all I need is a blanket and a piece of floor. Even when they do let me, I never hear the fucking end of it. We've been a couple for nearly a year, so there's no lack of trust or anything. It's seriously just incredibly inhospitable and degrading.
So, should I be annoyed, or am I being a little bitch?

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
She could have at least let you sleep on the sofa in the living room if her mama is that strict... It sounds rather rude to me, especially on valentines day.

Yeah, I'd be annoyed. It seems impolite, and disrespectful.

Actually, if I sleep on the couch, the mom is uncomfortable because she goes out in her nightgown in the morning, which I respect. But I actually like sleeping on my girlfriend's floor better, it's nice. Ugghh...I need better friends in general. Meh, I'll stop bitching now. It wasn't that unpleasant or anything.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
Is your girlfriend out of high school? I wouldn't let any boy sleep over If I were her dad until she graduated high school. Not like Id keep her from going out or even spending the night at other places but she aint having any dude guests under my watch. After high school real life begins and she can do what she wants. Just my take. Think about your own daughter. Id drive ur ass home is what Id do while wishing you a happy valentines day.

I would, but only after intense scrutiny of the kid. If I like him, then under my direction, it's fine.

Yeah, god forbid she gets seen in her nightie!!
That actually makes it even worse, now she's implying that you're a fucking perv and you're going to wank frantically to her upskirt view.
If you've been dating almost a year she should accept the fact that you *are* a large part of her daughters life.
And your fucking girlfriend should have stood up for you as it is.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
dude, raise hell.
but don't whine, nobody likes a whiner, take the mature course of action and freeze her out emotionally.
Sound retarded I know, but this really gets to women.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
Basically the same thing happened to me once, except instead of having just woke up, I had just came. So there was me lying on her bed expecting some cuddling to ensue, and she says "Don't you have to go now?". There was no snow, but bad wind and rain (which for Ireland is pretty bad) and a four mile trudge home. Feels shitty, eh?

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
She's out of highschool, but I'm not yet. And driving wasn't really a possibility, as we don't and her mom was asleep.

Yeah, that part confuses me. I think she's just flattering herself as a) Her nightie is not at all revealing, I've seen her in short skirts far moreso, b) Why would I want to look at some 49 year old woman when I have a have a hot 18 year old girlfriend.

Umm...why? I was only saying that she never walks home alone after dark, and rarely even when it's light out.
Meh, I've learned my lesson, which is the important part: Even though they're usually nice people and I love her, their hospitality sucks balls. So next time I just won't come inside where I'll get sleepy, or I'll make sure I'm welcome beforehand.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Or better yet, just stop going over there at all. hang out with her around town, or at your house. It really starts to bother parents when they don't get to see/talk to their kid's boyfriend/girlfriend for long periods of time, ang hanging out at the parents house lets them keep tabs on what's going on between you two. When you stop hanging out in front of the parents, all of a sudden they don't know much about the relationship, which removes any sense of control they felt they used to have. and that, for a parent, is not good at all.
Eventually her mom will probably ask her why you never come over anymore, at which point you respond with something about feeling unwelcome, and the shitty treatment/lack of respect. I hope that made sense, my lack of sleep has been interfering with my ability to make coherent posts.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
I'd be alot nastier than that.
This is your freaking girlfriend, for gods sake. Treating you like a dog.
What I'd probably do is the next time she came round to my place I'd make sure she'd got all comfy, and then be like
"you should probably be going now, my mum doesent want you to see her in her nightie.I'd walk you and all but it's cold and wet out there so I'll just stay here. Bye."
Just for the revenge of it all.
My boyfriends parents did that shit on occaision.
They invited me round for tea once, which was very nice of them. Then about 11pm they said "it's time for you to go now."
Their plan backfired a bit when my boyfriend just left with me and stayed at my place for the next three weeks.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
That is absolute fucking crap. My parents have, on several occasions, asked my boyfriend to spend the night because the roads were bad and they weren't comfortable with him taking a 10 minute drive home.
Your girlfriend and her mother sound like inconsiderate bitches. Freak the fuck out about it, and then in a few months, when all is forgotten, pull the same shit on her. That's lame, stupid crap.

Re: Should I be a little annoyed?
It was totally uncalled for. You seem like a very polite guy and if your girlfriend was like that then she doesn't deserve you. That mom. I hate it when you go over to your girlfriend's house and they act like you're an asshole and they don't even know you.
