alcoholic father
How do my mother and I get across to a stubborn 48 year old man that enough is enough and he needs to cut down on his drinking? Here in NJ it just snowed 3 inches and me and my mother asked him not to go out tonight but he still did. I get awoken to hearing a chevy tahoe redlining in the driveway, I look out the window and It's my father in snow who just blew my mothers driver mirror off her car and scratched it up. Now, I told him not to go out, my mother did, and he got angry at us and made us to be the bad guys. I assume this is turning into a pretty big rant right now, but the main question is, how do I communicate to this fucking drunk he has a problem? He's very stubborn and thinks he has no problem. What to do?

Re: alcoholic father
My dad was exactly the same, the only way we got him off alcohol was by taking him to the doctor and the doc said "if you dont stop drinking this much alcohol you WILL be dead in no more then 2-5 years." When he heard him basically say, "You are going to die" it really knocked sense into him...
It was good untill my mum walked out, now hes an alco again.. but then again i guess he has his own issues now.
