This would just barely make sense if people killed themselves on St. Valentines Day because they were stupid.

Actually statistically the 'suicide day' is in January sometime..when the xmas bills hit etc.

I think it's you that needs to learn what Darwinism is. You are apparently rather uneducated on the matter.

After all, a creature doesn't have to be smart to live, it simply has to be well suited to it's enviornment. That is why it is survival of the fittest, which doesn't necessarily mean most intelligent.

Therfore, those that commit suicide are not necessarily stupid according to Darwinism(though IMNSHO they are), but rather extremely unadapted to their current environment, so much so they wish to remove themselves from said envirornment by any means necessary.
