 pregnancy scare (chances of getting her knocked up with the pill and a condom?)
My girlfriend hasn't had her period in a litte over a month. I am both excited and freaked...we can't afford a kid right now, though we've talked seriously about starting a family in the future.
My question is this. I use condoms every single time, and she takes the pill. What are the chances that this is just a scare and that she's just late for one reason or the other?
How effective is both the pill (Loestrin 24) and the condom used in combination?

she's in DC, and her only form of transportation is a University shuttle that is decomissioned due to snow at the moment

Condoms are 97% effective
The pill is almost 98% effective
Therefore, the chances of her being pregnant are one in 97^98
That is a huge number, but there still an itty bitty chance.
