Stretch marks
If someone gains a lot of weight at one time, they'll get stretch marks.
However, say the person lost said weight... how can they remedy the stretch marks?

Re: Stretch marks
My cousin has a disease that causes her veins to collapse and was put on medication and roids. She put on SO much weight, im talking from going size 10 to size 16. She got laser surgery on the bad stretch marks when she lost the weight and it got rid of them, she tried everything else like vitamin e creams and oils etc and none of it worked. But the laser surgery made it 100% unnoticable. Its very expensive, but if you can afford a few thousand then its the most effective way ive seen so far.

Re: Stretch marks
There are lotions you can use to REDUCE them a bit, but there is no real cure for them. If you are very pale, they will fade away to a very light white and will hardly be visible but you have them for life. I use to be a body piercer and I would see them all the time around girl's navels. If you tan, they will look all bright and streaky against your skin. If you stay pale, they will fade, but not go away for good.

Yeah, but the person would've gained the weight. Either large, rapid gain or loss can cause they.
It's a breakdown in the lower layers of skin where the fat is showing through or was.

Re: Stretch marks
You can get creams that fade them a bit.
But they never completely go away, they just look a bit like scars after a bit.

Re: Stretch marks
I talked to a plastic surgeon. Using Vitamin E to remedy stretch marks will cause minimal change. It's an urban myth. The true remedy is Aloe Vera.
When you're burnt, what do you use? Aloe Vera. Why? Because it has incredibly healing and regeneration properties when it comes to skin.
I have them . On my back and on my thighs. No one has cared yet, because the LARGE majority of girls get them during their teen years. That's when they get their tits and child baring hips, stretch mark central.

Re: Stretch marks
They will never fully go, but they do fade eventally. And yeah, when you get rapid weight loss they appear a lot more, notice ones that were never there before. Try bio oil, it'll help if you use it regularly.

That's why I ask. They were from gaining a shitload of weight that was lost/remaining 17.5 pounds working on being lost.
I'm getting into working out and of course, I love nothing more than flexing my biceps! (I'm very arrogant and self centered).
So I'd like to minimize them!
Arquin, I'll try Aloe Vera. I've got some of that. It's weird, because the Vitamin E cream seems to help a bit.
I read that Vic's Chest Rub works wonders, so I'll try that as well.

Re: Stretch marks
You don't only get them from being overweight. Most guys who work out get them. I have some going down my arms ever since I started working out. They aren't horrible-looking, just annoying because my skin is naturally dark and they show up easy. The girls that I've been with didn't mind them at all, but then again they had stretch marks as well even though they had really great bodies.
On a side note, using aloe vera and vitamin-enriched creams won't work completely and you will only see tiny results if any. You have to get vitamins in your body especially vitamin C. Vitamin C heals scarred tissue and helps the collagen in your skin. Vitamin A and E are also very important.

i've noticed!
I'll start using my aloe vera on 'em tonight and give a try for several weeks or so. three to a month should give a good idea.
Maybe use Vitamin E cream one day, aloe the next.

Re: Stretch marks
Oh god, stretch marks were the bane of my existance growing up. It's okay now because they've all faded, but when I was younger they were soooo bad. And I've never been fat either, I just got them from growing up.
Anyway, I suggest that you do nothing. The very best any remedy will give you is a fading of the mark. There's nothing you can do to make them go away. And to fade them you need to put cream on every day and night for like 6 months to get results. So I would just wait, they'll fade eventually...
