Default Riding the Train

I say this clearly and with no hint of misunderstanding, standing near you or sitting beside you is not an invitation for molestation. A smile or friendly hello does not mean that I want anything from you.

I dislike having to tell people off for this sort of thing because it just shouldn't be happenning.

Thoughts?

I really don't know what to say to that. I think I understand what you're trying to say, that people shouldn't think you want them just because your being friendly. I agree.

Hey, can I be a mod???

What's worse is when you're smiling to yourself about something, and a creepy bastard gets it into his head you're smiling at him, and proceeds to hit on you.

Just no!

Relationships do not start on public transport.

To be fair, I think it's okay to start conversations on trains, with prospect of getting numbers etc.

Train journeys can be pretty long as well, so having some friendly conversation is always good.

Being subtle always helps though.

Yeah. There's this weird difference between hitting on someone on the tube, and hitting on someone on a train to the other end of the country.

Maybe starting conversations on a long journey is more natural. Maybe to pass the time. Whereas when people are going to work, or getting off after a few stops it just seems invasive.

I find conversations to be too ambiguous on public transport. Too really get my point across that I’m interested in their precious lady gardens I like to make and maintain eye contact, and then begin a steady pelvic thrust. (http://www.sweatpantserection.com/stories/img/86/penis_bend.jpg)

Just talk about guinea pigs. Some old guy started talking to me on the bus the other day, and I just chatted about guinea pigs.

When people attempt conversation with me, I'm not vain enough to assume they obviously want to sex me.

But yeah. Guinea pig convo FTW.

I dunno, talking to people is orright. Even if they think you're hitting on them. I mean, you can just sorta ignore that fact.

It would shit you if you had a responsibility to someone though, as you do (e)U.

You're upset because the ladies just won't leave you alone and you want us to commiserate with your sad little predicament.

Now you want to hear my thoughts on the matter?

yoyo, educate me on the mysteries of the guinea pig.

Ok well liek Floyd, he's my oldest fattest guinea pig, who's eight, Really really likes broccoli. Only I cant get nice broccoli in the place I live in so I have to go right into the city to the farmers market thing, you know where they sell honeycomb and fresh fish and everything? Yeah I go there.

I think he's getting cataracts now, which is really sad, he cant see much at all but he can still smell really well and seems quite happy, so he waddles around his cage snuffling out food. Sure I mean when his arthirytis gets too bad I'm going to have to re-think things, at the moment he's got a big cage on the kitchen floor, but if the arthyritis get's worse I'll have to make a special cage and have one of those halogen heaters fixed to it. He's glossy black fur, but his muzzle is going white now, kind of like father christmas.

Then there's Tweak. He lives with the (female) bunny and has absolutely no interest in her. She,however seems to adore Tweak, and spends most of her time chasing him round the cage and licking him clean. He's kind of long haired and fluffy, I was hoping that in the winter his fur would go white because I think he's a breed of guinea pig from a more northern climate. But it didnt, I guess it's too warm in here. Tweak doesent really like other guinea pigs. I dont think he likes anything much except asparagus tips, which are so.fucking.expensive.

Oooh I forgot about Lucy. Lucy lives with Floyd. They get on relatively well. I didnt originally house them together, but after Sasuke died, (I'll tell you about him in a minute), Floyd got really lonely.

He's a very old man, he's outlived several of my guinea pigs.

Lucy was allways called the baby, up untill about a week ago when I got a *real* baby guinea pig, and realised that Lucy is infact massive!

I dont think he's too happy about no longer being the 'baby' and no longer is he allowed to act all bratty, I think he's also confused about his gender, but I dont know why..

So yeah, Sasuke was a beautifull Lilac self guinea pig. Most people called him the 'bitch pig' or 'runt'. It was true, he was a bitchy animal, and a runt. But he was wonderfull. he was the only guinea pig I've ever had that liked to sleep under my chin.

I dont want to talk about Sasuke too much because I'll get sad about him dying. He was very weak, I think he had a respiratory problem, and died at less than 2 years old.

It's weird how one guinea pig will die when his life has barely started, but Floyd just keeps on living much longer than a guinea pig lifetime is. I buried Sasukes body in my mums boyfriends garden, which overlooks this massive park in St George. Alot of the trees in that park blew over this winter in the gales, but not the ones near where Sasuke was buried.

Then there's Tufty and Michelle. They are relatively new babies, I got them after a really bad breakup.

I figured as my ex moved out I could get a few more guinea pigs. They arent as smelly as a full grown man, and dont take up as much space either, right?

They used to like each other, but I dont know what happened to tufty, I think he saw Tweak and was inspired to become as much of a psycho as he is. So now Tufty tries to attack Michelle I had to get Michelle his own cage.

Michelle is shimmery gold and white and he glitters in the sunlight. It's sad but he's got the same sort of runty skinny form that Sasuke did. Guinea pigs are meant to be fat and sturdy, not delicate and fragile. I can allready sense that Michelle might not live that long.

But he's happy.

After an incident at the pet shop I came home with a tiny ball of pure white fluff. Eventually I realised it had eyes. Then it occured to me that the ball of fluff was infact a guinea pig.

The fluffball lives with Michelle. He seems happy, has started to walk a bit and make 'wiiik wiiik' noises now. I think I shall call him Princess Xip. Or just Princess, for short.

Tweak gets very excited about the princess. The one time I introduced them to each other Tweak shoved his nose under the baby, and then flicked the little creature into the air with his nose.

Generally they're quite messy animals, and somewhat noisy. Luckily I live on the top floor of an appartment building in the studio flat so I've not really any neighbours who might cause trouble, allthough I'm pretty sure the cleaning lady is onto me, after an incident where the bunny escaped into the hallway whilst cleaning lady was vacuuming. I think she'll keep quiet though, apart from anything I give her a cup of tea and some custard creams when she turns up to clean, so I'm deffinately on her side.

In the winter I have to cover the cages with blankets because the drafts might give the guinea pigs colds. Apparently they can also catch human colds so I have to quarantine myself when I get sick. They have around 12-16 teeth, including some molars.

I give my guinea pigs plenty of stuff to gnaw on, so their teeth dont ever over grow. Should they ever over grow I'd have to cut the teeth with wire cutters because otherwise the guinea pig would be unable to eat and would starve.

If they lived on cold hard surfaces they'd wear their claws down, but as they are pampered and live on blankets and hay and sawdust, I have to cut their claws every few weeks. With dark skinned guinea pigs such as floyd and Lucy, it's difficult to avoid cutting the cuticle at the end of the claw, so I have to use antisceptic powder to stop any bleeding and keep the claws clean.

Tweak struggles like a mad demon creature when I have to cut his claws, so usually I get my boyfriend to wrap Tweak up in a pillow case with just the claws poking out. It's a tough job but if I didnt do it their claws would get so long they wouldnt be able to walk without great pain.

I dont cut the rabbits claws. There's no way I'm going near those things.

I've noticed that when a guinea pig gets very comfy it will occaisionaly become slightly incontinent. I've mainly trained them to not do this, but there's no way to totaly train a rodent.

Also, floyd has a bit of a problem because he's getting old, and incontinent. It cant be helped. As he's got a weak bladder I have to change his cage out more frequently, also he's more likely to get constipated than..

hey, are you awake..? hey?
