I'm just wondering...

I don't know if it's fair to say that I've been in love but I've definitely been close. When I was like 14, there was this girl online that made me feel all tingly and I'd daydream about her all the time.

Then when I was 17, there was a girl online who made me feel tingly... Err... Did I just answer my own question? I'm an idiot...

Anyways, it's just that I'm 20 now, with a girl who doesn't make me feel tingly. On paper, she's very close to perfect, except for a few niggles. But she doesn't give me no particular tingles, don't think she ever did. I just really like her, she's so damn cute.

I don't know if this is worth starting a thread for but... Has anyone here been in a similar situation, where they at a certain age figured nah I'm not gonna get that special feeling about someone again, but were proved wrong?

I think it all depends on the person you're with, and how you feel about them.

I'm with a person I love very much. We have a close to perfect relationship, fights and all, and we've been with each other for quite a while. And though we have an, unusual relationship structure in the eyes of others, it works for us and makes us happy.

But we go through phases with eachother, sometimes I'm just seeing him, and it's great, and I really enjoy it, but like you said, there's no 'tingly feeling'. And other times, just thinking about him makes me smile like a loon, and I amp myself up for seeing him.

We bounce between comfortably knowing we're in love, and falling in love with each other. I hope it's not something I lose as I get older.

It depends. I'd say that people get hit by love differently. I've spoken with a fair few people on the subject and they claim that love can hit more than once, but it's never the same twice.

I've only been in true love official love once it was my first gf we had a mutal break up and I will more then likey marry her or my best friend. I thought I was in love before but I realized that I really wasn't I'm weird like that.

I would agree with that. I'm 19 and have been in love twice. It was different with both guys, I had different emotions associated with them, different emotions when we broke up. One of them I'm still very close friends with, the other I talk to occasionally, and have an uneasy friendship with. Though the feelings were different, I believe both were love. And I believe I will fall in love again, otherwise I am in for an awfully lonely 50+ years.

Id have to admit that I agree with it. Im 17. Last time I felt love was when I was 15. Before that there were some kiddy crushes, but I clearly see the difference between those crushes and these "loves". One time it ended after a month, she just decided that I wasnt the one and left me. But this time I have such a similiar feeling, that Im willing to do "good" for her, and that basicly she is the meaning of my life. But knowing how love goes itll end, before it even gets started. Love, its just hormones I reckon.

well, about 10 months ago, i got that "tingly" feeling for one of my friends. and i thought i loved someone before then, but no tingly feeling. i have the "tingly" feeling for my best friend right now. i didn't have it for my girlfriend (ex, as of about 90 minutes ago).

tingly is a bad description of how you know you're in love. and, sure, i suppose its possible to take mutiple hits off the love bong.

My supposed first love was just me being addicted to sex and wanting companionship. but in the end, I was miserable. Lost contact with my friends. Recently got rid of that succubus of an ex and totally having a blast! Bro's before Ho's fellas.. Never makin that mistake again!
