She's getting along better with her ex
and her ex is a good guy, who's been a friend of mine in the past. I've talked to her about it and she assures me that everything is okay. She wants to hang out with him this weekend, with or without me. What do I do, where do I draw the line?

Why, you go with her of course.
And remember, they broke up for a reason.

god thats awkward ... i bring nothing productive to the table ... but jeez that is awkward.
Perhaps you should hire a private detective to spy on them "with hilarious consequences"

Re: She's getting along better with her ex
YO
its simple. you install a keylogger on her/your computer and retrieve her myspace password (though if you install one on hers you can read her AIM logs too) and then you just freely let her do whatever.
you'll soon find out if she's faithful or not, if she isn't simply break it off and never talk to her again.
at least that's what i'd do hehehehehehehehehe.
but uhhh... otherwise, i'd (being paranoid and untrusting) think that's kind of shady. she's probably going to bone him.

Re: She's getting along better with her ex
If you start gettin all paranoid telling you don't want to her to see him, she is going to know you don't trust her, that will be a whole new set of problems. Give her the benefit of the doubt and even a second chance, we all deserve one.
Since you have been friends with that guy before it should be relatively easy to hang out with them. Go with them and see how they act together. This can either thwart your paranoia or increase it. Just relax and don't jump to conclusions.

man becareful with that she could end up fucking him and then tell you that it was a "mistake" or she could just end up dumping you after fucking him.

She should be over him by now. Still, be firm with her. Let her know seeing him too much or for too long is not acceptable. Even if you really doubt she would cheat, she should still respect your relationship.

Re: She's getting along better with her ex
I hate to not give you comforting advice, but I want you to know that it could easily be the early steps of her going back to him.
From personal experience, when you're willing to go see someone that could be a potential interest "with or without you" then it often means "preferably without you".
I'd keep a keen eye on her, don't let her feel spied on, talk to her, love her more than ever and make her see that you're the one she REALLY wants. I think that's your best bet.
Best of luck (sincerely meant).

Her words were closer to "So-and-so and I were thinking of hanging out this weekend, want to come?" Thanks for the advice, all of you.

Re: She's getting along better with her ex
Rule #1- Don't make assumptions. I'm sure you already know that, but it's always good to have a reminder. You can't pick who your girl's friends are, so unless she gives you a real reason to think she wants to get back with her ex, just trust her. This is kind of a sensitive spot for me because one of my best friends in the world is an ex-boyfriend. We dated for a year and broke up over 2 years ago, but it still causes relationship problems for me today when people I date hear that I'm so close with my ex.

Re: She's getting along better with her ex
totse people = paranoid
i think it might be the drugs
nothin against those...but..well
Anyways. Dude, just go along, cause
1. how they interact will let you know if you should be worried
2. he can't make advances while your there can he
But, be grownup about it, treat him normal and stuff. Don't go jalous or somethin cause actin like a child will only be against your interests
and hope he has forgotten to learn this lesson

He's taking back what was his, but is now your girl. Kill him, and eat his heart. You'll gain his game.
