My dad took my little 7 year old brother to the doctors today, because he had been feeling sick for a long time. They said it was very serious and called an ambulance. He's now at the ICU. They said on first suspicion that they thought he had diabetes. His fluids and blood sugar is all fucked up. He's on like 1000 tubes. My mom is sobbing. I'm so scared...Totse, your like my family some of you...i just need support.

Best Wishes. If they think it's diabetes, then it probably is diabetes. Doctors are skilled in dealing with diabetes. You have to trust that your brother will come out of it safely. A person can live a good life with diabetes.

Juvenile diabetis, very common and very treatable. Hope he gets better man. Kids should not get sick, sicknesses should only happen to adults.

It sounds like diabetes, though of course I'm not a doctor, just the son of one. Tons of people live perfectly good lives with diabetes, so if it is diabetes I'm sure your bro will be fine. I know it's scary having a family member in the hospital, been through it a few times myself. Good luck dude.

thats absolulutely terrible. if it comes to it I can give advice on novo nordisk related subcutaenous injections. Make sure he gets good treatment, if diabetes isnt managed well the child could end up short and that sucks

I hope your wee brother gets better soon, dude. Diabetes is not too much to worry about in the long run, the doctors know what to do and once you're used to it it's easy to live with - actually it's maybe even better in the way that you HAVE to stick to healthy foods and won't become too unhealthy from the way we normally live in this fast paced world of ours. Of course, we'd be better off without stuff like diabetes around, but look at it from the brighter side. I'm sure he's gonna get through it, the doctors know what they're doing these days, and once he's back on track he'll be just fine.
