The psychological trauma a normal woman would feel after being raped would be much more than that of a prostitute. If there were two women, a whore and a...waitress at a cafe, and I had to volunteer one to be raped based on minimal psychological damage, I'd choose the whore.

Is it still wrong? Yeah.

Actually I've pondered this question myself on several occasions.

It's theft, not rape. You are stealing her services which she provides indiscriminately. I guess if you're violent about it and injure her in the process, then it's a different story.

But if you rape her gently, you're just stealing what others have to pay for.

People in bars can turn down serving people who look underage, or people who seem violent and already wasted.When buying and selling property, both parties have to agree. A smart babysitter wouldn't agree to look after kids that he or she knew were extremely obnoxious and not worth the $4 an hour.

Whores working independantly do have the choice, and are advised even to turn down shady offers.

Can you see the trouble prostitutes might have in coming forward with rape complaints (in countries where they're not persecuted anyway)?

I have spoken to some very high class hookers before (like $500-1000 a night), and you can easily tell that they don't care who you are, as long as you've got the money. Under what circumstances can you think of that they would refuse?

It's not the same as serving bar patrons, as a lot of the guys that pick these girls up are drunk anyway (I've seen it, I used to work at a high class hotel down town). Also, it's not like they ask for ID, so unless you look like 15 or something, I'm sure they'll still fuck you. Then there's the violent appearance, but what kind of person about to commit a crime (such as rape or theft of a hookers services) is going to put on a violent demeanor before they even commit the crime?? That's like advertising what they're about to do...

Actually prostitutes suffer just as badly as any other woman after rape....sometimes even worse (because traditionally a prostitute was more sexually empowered than a 'good woman').
