I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions for V-day gifts. I kind of wan to avoid the whole chocolate/card/flowers thing, and preferably homemade, as I am strapped for cash after buying Chili Peppers tickets. Last year I made a mix tape (lame, I know) and it went over well but I can't do the same thing again. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would be glad to hear them.

Buy a cheap photo frame and some paints and other craft goods, decorate as you see fit, complete with photo of the two of you.

It's the kind of gift that always goes over reasonably well.

Craft gifts = shitty substitutes for real gifts. Like when you get her something cool like a record player, or one of your favorite books, or take her on vacation, and she gives you a picture of a duckie pushing a sailboat that she drew.

I dont like giving people choclate because I feel cheap with a $4 Russell Stover's box. I'm going with some kind of hallmark-based teddy bear placed in the locker with some over-priced card. Maybe give the bear some flowers...but I feel like a retard with the whole flowers thing (too overdone). So I'm thinking just a bear and a card. I dont know if that helped at all...but thats a cheap suggestion.

Well im in the same boat and I HAVE TO HAVE TO Make up GOOD THIS year. See im not good with paying attention to when holidays are and since Vday I never had a valentine till last year I never cared at all. Last year was kind of like how it happens on st.pattys day *gets to school wonders why theres so much green realizes what day it is*. SO this year I had to do some things to make her gift since im kind of strapped for cash.

I bought one of those black/white composition books with the designs and colored it in and all nice and pretty then in the inside I wrote "50things I love about you" and a bunch of cool pictures and special things. Cost me about $3 for that and i know she will love it. Plus im into chemistry and pyrotechnics and she wanted me to do some for Vday this year so im making her a bouqet of Hydrogen filled Pink, white and red ballons and going to blow make her a HUGE ass fireball haha, and make some little firework type shit as well(obviously this you can't do because im an expert in this type of shit and know saftey precautions). Also maybe going to make her a valentine day card with cute message on it. Depending on how much money you have you can easily make an AWESOME

"Build A Bear" for about $30 and its very personal and girls LOVE Those things they are so damn cute and great gifts. I don't know if any of that helped you but what ever if you don't like it fuck you. But good luck. And be glad your not me because not only do I got Vday but 4 days later its her Bday. So just be thankfull your poor but only have ONE holiday to make good for your girl.

Chocolates awesome for Vday, surprisinly a rose is a nice thing to give a guy you might make him feel special. Best gift I ever got from my gf was a cheap spring action Colt 1911A1 airsoft gun and 500 paintball BBs. Comes in hand now when I'm having a shitty, drunken night, and I feel like decorating pictures of my most recent ex (not the one who got me the gun, she was before this one).
