I have a friend that always dresses up the day after she breaks up with her boyfriend. What things do you folk do differently every time you break up with someone?

Become a little more metro.

I usually play with my nipples.

After my first ex and I broke up I tried marijuana, and then the girlfriend after that was painkillers, then cocaine.

Most recently, I started shopping at stores like Eddie Bauer and Bananna Republic because it totally conceals the druggie image.

I've done this in the past, and i think a lot of girls do.

get a haircut.

it makes you feel good, and it frees you a little bit. i also try to get out of the house the night that it happens and go out with my girl friends.

Things I do:

Excersise/run to the point where I have to vomit.

Do drugs.

Destroy perfectly good aspects of my life I worked hard on building.

Fucking destructive tendencies.

I get so drunk that I start calling other ex girlfriends at 3 in the morning to see what they are up to. Basically, I drink myself into such an idiotic state that I think I might have a chance with getting a one night stand with former girlfriends that probably hate me with a passion.

General major destruction around town. In extended periods or in one night.

Either that, or play some airsoft with friends. Makes you forget whatever stress you have when you know you're playing against a bastard that likes shooting your head, and you haven't got a helmet.

Damn it! A bb to the forehead hurts no matter the distance! So the mere thought of getting back at this prick friend of mine, and the emotional pleasure I get if I get him the same night, it's unthinkable!

After that I'll probably arrive home, sit with a huge smile and ask myself what was that feeling I had... Then get depressed again and go out, *again* to break or burn something/someone.

i usually just be myself. if the guy was stupid enough to dump me then he can deal with not being able to have me. the only think i change is i get more of the attitude of 'im not going to take any shit from anyone' kind of thing. im more open when im single i find though.... but what ever

I have never had to deal with that.

As much as it would be nice to have something quirky and wild, I can't say I've done anything but curl up into a ball and cry until my chest hurts.

And that's why I'm not trusted with persons of the opposite sex anymore. :P

well most recently i got tipsy and went to bed next to her twin sister, her sister wrapped her legs around mine and put her hand on my side, i told her i was feeling impulsive beyond belief and was a bit inebriated and to tell me to stop IMMEDIATELY if i did anything she didnt want me to, we kissed, and then she told me no, and we spent the rest of the night curled up together

all the while right next to her sister and another friend of mine

then i blasted tool and a perfect circle until i fell asleep, now im ditching school and enjoying some coca-cola

Hmmm...I just realised I always go dirtbike riding when I'm angry. Probably not good for me, or the bike.

That's how I crashed...three times . One bike was a write off, the other...not as bad.

Man I'm in debt. Fuck relationships are gay.

4. have mental breakdown because that she-devil sucked your soul out of your mouth

5. resume being a badass metalhead after 6 months of being a wench-controlled pussy and vow never to date preppy chicks again.

Drink, listen to a lot of music alone, drink, watch depressing movies, drink some more, clean guns while thinking of suicide (don't want them to jam up at the last moment), hey what'd ya know drink even more, call her and tell her what I really think of her (in Italian though so she doesn't know what I'm saying incase we get back together later and I can lie and say I was saying how much I loved her and everything wonderful about her), and by this point my liver is planning an escape route with my kidneys as accomplaces.

You know, the classics.

I generally spend a few weeks drunk/stoned/under some sort of influence. Recovering from that usually distracts me from any residual sadness/rage. Those few weeks of being fucked up though... crazy things have happened during those phases. Good times.

After my first rather serious boyfriend and I broke up, I cut my hair and shed alot of weight.

It was fucking ace.

well back before the last time it happened (saturday)i use to always be bummed out and keep to myself, do alot of drugs whatever they might be and drink myself retarded.

since then however ive grown up alot and realized putting off the pain with substance abuse doesnt do anything but make you become more dependent on those substances when your down again, plus the fact its simply self-destruction. I relate with other posters above in that i also work out alot after its over, it helps get your mind off it and plus i mean really your only helping yourself right?dont get me wrong i still get fucked up alot but not enough to endanger my wellbeing.

More or less me, dress up a bit, drink and find a random girl.

Also go snowboarding if it's winter for about 14 hours straight, or bike for about the same time if it's summer. To the point, with either, that I can't walk or breathe. Self destructive, but with positives. Also exercise a lot.

Go drink more, do stupid stuff, and maybe steal one or two decent things. Enough so that it contracts with the way I was in the relationship, and I start to forget that part.
