What the hell does this mean?
First off, to those who haven't concluded this already, I'm a little batshit crazy, soooo this may seem weird. It is weird. What the hell....
Following recent events of me being an inconsiderate bitch and my boyfriend returning the feelings, I decided that I needed some space to... well, I need space. He reluctantly agreed, after I explained to him that we've become over-dependent on eachother (ie clingy, which I will NOT tolerate) and yeah. Space. However during this "space" for the past few days we've been bringing up issues, past and present, and... well, yeah.
Through all this I keep imagining that he's just going to get sick of the whole thing and just walk away. But I don't know if that's just an expectation based on past experiences and my pessimistic outlook on life... or if I want it.
I know, WTF? But listen. When you imagine bad things happening, it's supposed to scare you right? Or at least make you sad? But I think that, and I feel nothing. Perhaps it's because I know it's not gonna happen. And I KNOW he won't walk away. But still, shouldn't the thought bother me? Am I heartless?

Re: What the hell does this mean?
Um...If you don't even care if he leaves you, then why are you bothering with a relationship?
Edit - Reread your post, I think I see what you're asking now. And I think that you don't feel anything because you know it wont happen, simple as that. You can't entertain it as a realistic thought, so why would it invoke an emotion?

Re: What the hell does this mean?
Maybe you just realize that you'll be okay either way. If so then that's rather rational for someone who considers herself batshit crazy.
I don't know. Your guess is better than mine.
Edit:
Argh! Can't spell...friggin headache!
*grumbles*

Re: What the hell does this mean?
I... Don't get the fact that people actually break up over the fact of being too 'clingy'. Isn't that what being in a relationship is? Showing affection towards someone through phsyical contact? I mean, my girlfriend and I hug constantly, kiss whenever we are alone (And sometimes whenever no one is looking), and I don't want it any other way! Perhaps I don't see a defination of clingy, or perhaps everyone else is just crazy on the subject. 'If a crazy man is the only one to think logically, is he still crazy?'

dumbass! that's not what clingy means
for the OP, you probably don't care as much as you think you do about this guy, otherwise you wouldn't be as cold as you are toward him

I've realized I don't love him. Thought I did. Happy I didn't say it, I'd terribly regret it. And glad he hasn't said it to me...
Am I cold? I don't think I'm cold. I'm just... detatched...

I entertain unrealistic thoughts all the time! Infact, that's what keeps me going

Then, instead of calling someone a dumbass, and stating what it's NOT, state what it is...

Don't be so dramatic. Just because you're not attached to him, that doesn't make you detatched. You just sound very realistic to me.

Why is it you never cease to surprise...or...maybe it's confuse...me.
(I mean that with affection, btw.)

Yeah, I'm not saying that unrealistic thoughts can't invoke emotions, I'm just saying that it makes sense in this situation.

That makes me feel a bit better. I do try to be realistic. I know it won't be the end of the world if my relationship ends. Sad, yes. Tragic, no. That's what I meant by detatched, really.

Well, I have realised a few unrealistic dreams before, which is always a plus But then there's so much dissapointment as well.
