Ok, so I've been seeing this one chick for about 3 weeks or so now....its kinda complicated...she has/had an ex of 2-3 years or so she's stuck on....he lives in another city...5+ hours away....we see eachother as often as our schedules allow and usually screw all night, and it seems somewhat intimate..... she 'ended it' with me once after about the 5th day, the next weekend we were back at it and have been since.....we talk/chat/message each other somewhat frequently throughout the days we dont see eachother....

we have never addressed the relationship status of us, and thats cool. but she's never brought up the issue of her ex-bf who is still a part of her life....though i dont know to what extant....

I know that I should do something for her for V-day....but to what extant....I dont want to blow a lot of money on a lost cause, and i dont want to over do it.....but I def. dont want to under do it, and I know where to a point where doing nothing would be a slap in the face....

I think she works on V-day, so i was just going to have some flowers sent to her work... what is the opinion of you folks?

You know it's always the thought that counts. You don't have to spend a lot of dough.

ya, i know i have to do SOMETHING....but i dont want to overdo something because of her wierd relationship with her ex...they dated for like 3 years, and i'm number one guy after that now....so.....dont want to do something that to her would be wierd, or indicate that we have a relationship that she doesnt see.... etc, etc....

i figure flowers are safe...

In your situation I'd probably just go the single rose, present it to her say Happy Valentines day, then make no further comment or reference to the day.

I might even just pluck the rose out of someones garden.

good advice, but seeing as how she works 30 minutes away, and im not going to make the display of driving all the way out there to see her (which would be a large gesture), I dont think that a flower delivery service would do one rose....I planned on just a cheaper bouquet of flowers, prob not roses...

Man, you are way over doing it. I know exactly what u mean about not knowing the status of the relationship. She will be creeped out for sure if u drive 30 min to deliver her flowers. She just broke up a 3yr relationship? Man chill out give her some time to like get over him just keep banging her! you need yours and she needs hers. thats all she wants right now is some sex she just got outta a long relationship.
