Spending all your time with someone
When I mean all your time, I mean like EVERY waking minute. Something lots of couples do, they just seem inseperable. But doesn't this add unnecessary stress?
I spend a lot of time alone, not entirely by choice, but I seriously couldn't stand it if I didn't have an hour or two of alone time each day. How do people handle this?

I like my alone time.
If I was with my gf (not that I have one ) every moment of the day i'd go crazy.

Re: Spending all your time with someone
Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with her, it's great, but if you spend every waking moment together, you end up getting annoyed at something or other, that little thing snowballs, and you end up really pissed at each other/break up.
I like my alone time too.

Re: Spending all your time with someone
I don't know about EVERY SINGLE hour of the day but my girlfriend and I have spent every moment we had free with each other for the longest time especially now that the only other person I hang out with really just left for Basic Training and me going at the end of next month. last week both her parents were gone and so I stayed at her house for about a week and since I don't have a job aside from one weekend a month drill and graduated we spent pretty much all day and night together aside from when she was at school or work(which is only a couple days a week) And it really isn't bad.
I mean its weird some people you can get bored with or can only hang with them for a little bit and then its not so fun but us together it never gets boring or what not but then again we do love each other and just love being together who knows what ever. Although we do have our alone time I don't think if we had to be together 24/7/365 that it would be to bad I mean I don't really need alone time so.

Re: Spending all your time with someone
I was in a long distance relationship which left us in and out of both extremes... no time together, then not a moment apart. It was hard work.
My current girlfriend and I spend a LOT of time together. When we're working, we even see each other on breaks a lot of the time. Theres the occasional breaks, though, such as now 'cos she's going home to get changed and I couldnt quite make it out of bed. These little breaks make it so we don't get pissed with each other. Comfortable medium.

We live together, but luckily I work about 49 hours a week, so I dont really have time to get pissed off with him.

Sometimes you just click with a person, and it seems comfortable to be with them. More comfortable than being alone.

Re: Spending all your time with someone
I would love to have a mate who I wanted to spend all my time with and who shared the same interests as I do.
That's not to say that I don't like my alone time, I do. But...if I were to choose a mate for myself again...I think I would look for that more than I did before.

Re: Spending all your time with someone
No, I dont think I could. I need time to think, to read and other nonsocial stuff like that. But a few social hours a day are some good. Once in a while atleast.
