Well, I met this girl about six months ago...last summer to be exact. She was going through some hard times (abusive boyfriend) and I sat down and listened to her story.

To make a long story short, we became best friends. Over time, we have become closer and closer. We are both ready for a relationship.

The problem is that her parents aren't too keen on the whole idea. They have told her that they want contact to be limited between us (as in hardly no contact).

What should I do Totse? I've thought about sitting down with her parents and discussing what has been going on. Should I just forget about them and deal with it when things inevitably come up? Should I abide by their wishes?

I'm not sure which direction to go

I had the same problem. I was 20 when I first dated my ex. She was 16. We went to the beach, and then when I dropped her off I met her mom. After that, she forbid us from dating.

Okay, thats fine, whatever. I wasnt madly in love or anything. So after that we kind of just hung out as friends. And then it escalated slightly to friends with benefits, and eventually her mom just resigned herself to the fact that we were dating.

A word of advice though, theres a really good reason why you're not supposed to date younger girls. It's not a moral issue or anything, so I'm not going to rag on you for going for it. But I'm telling you now its not a good idea. But I think maybe this is one of those things its best to figure out on your own.

I guess that if the girl is still living with her parents, then she does sort of have to abide by her parents wishes. Its only right.

I'd sit down with the parents and discuss things maturely, perhaps get to know them and invite them around yours for a drink or something?

And show them that you are serious about their daughter, and you aren't going to "love her and leave her" so to speak.

I would try to talk to her parents. They probably think you're going to take her out and get her drunk all the time. How long until she's 18? 17 can still get you thrown in jail if the parents really want to push it.

Then agree to just be 'friends' and just wait until she's 18.

Know this. You're a fucking degenerate. With that said, what you can do is wait until she's 18 and everything is legal and then take up the battle against her parents. You can win if you try hard enough. I still hate your kind, though.

A four year age gap is enough to hate someone over? You're silly. It's not like I was crouching and waiting for her to become weak and then feasting on the leftovers. She's no virgin anyway.

And the age is 16 here in SC. I'm not trying to win her from her parents, I'm just trying to get ideas to reduce conflict. I don't see what the problem is.

Met her last year so you know the ages we were when we met.

Her mother HATED the idea of her being with someone my age...Also the idea of being with a guy from where I am from.

She thought I was a drug dealer/abuser, pimp, mugger, murderer, etc, etc.

She now really likes me and we get on quite well.

How? I sat and talked to her.

Once she realised her preconceptions were completely wrong, she didn't mind me.

Once I got her daughter away from her stupid, useless, no-mark druggy friends and helped her get into a new college, her mum decided she loved me!

I would say, just go and talk to her parents and explain your intentions. Let them see that you're not just with her daughter for a fuck and that you have strong feelings for her.

Mate 17 and 21 is fine.

Age laws. Keep that stuff in mind.

QFT (Although im actually 18) I dont find as much as a problem as I used to but I remember what it was like back then when you couldnt go to bars or clubs and you had to rely on the girls who were being stolen by older guys.

Actually I never really did have that problem but my mate did.

How about you find someone your own age for a start..
