Does anyone feel like there is a black hole in thier head ?

Let me clarify ... Is it normal for you to only hold thoughts for a small amount of time then they are sucked out of your head and forgotten?

You see i get this a lot lately . I have lost that "Me" inside my personality . I laugh i joke i still do all the things i would normally. But the only difference is i dont know why i do them ? , I feel like a robot , i just induldge feel upset then go to bed.

Something is missing . Seriously . Something has gone.

I feel like a black hole has sucked a part of me away in my sleep. Its strange and scares me a lot so i was wondering has anyone else had this feeling ? , just so i dont feel as isolated ?

Being depressed doesn't make you a whiny emo. I've struggled with depression my whole life, and I often feel ashamed. But my doctor told me something that made me feel better. I can't remember exactly, but it was something along the lines of a depressed person taking antidepressants to balance out their brain chemistry is the same difference as a diabetic taking insulin to balance out their blood sugar. And no one judges diabetics for taking insulin, lol.

That being said, you may not even be depressed, you'll have to see a doctor about that. But if you are, it's something to think about...

Oh theres nothing like seriously wrong with me.

I havent tried to slit my wrists or anything i just feel a little isolated and have lost my self identity. I just feel scared of what may come .

I thought i would totse my feelings after all if you cut out the "murder/suicide" replies its far cheaper than therapy.

EDIT: typo

Pfft...in my experience antidepressants don't work. I've seen them become just another addiction for so many people.

I'm about as chronically depressed as one can get without killing oneself (and hell I've come close), but no way am I going on antidepressants.

I've got the same, except it's bad enough to impair my speech. Don't look too smart when half of the stuff I say breaks halfway by jumbling a word and then I forget what we had been talking about

In your experience, maybe. But as a whole, I can GUARANTEE that they work for some. I'm on a wonder drug...how ever...

So fucking true! I beat my depression using this drug. Then when I tried to get off the drug I realised how addicted to it I was which made me depressed all over again.

I've never found anti-depressants to turn me into a happy happy dancing bunny, but they do take the sharp edges off of life.

Fluoexedrine hydrochloride bestest, It wont make things better, but it will make you not care, really.

I'd tell you to try Avanza, my wonder drug. But I don't think it's every one's wonder drug.

I was skinny, depressed and an insomniac.

Avanza makes you gain weight, sleep, and happy (or atleast stable).

Weight gain = happiness?!

I've found that since going off of the fluo, I can deffinately..feel things alot more. I cant just absorb stuff that happens anymore. I've also gained weight

I seriously doubt it is depression, when I have had depression it has made me feel everything. When you are depressed you are very conscious of the 'me' inside yourself, a little too conscious of it in my experience.

Most people are dissapointed when antidepressants don't make them into that "dancing bunny" they expect, that doesn't mean they don't work.

My meds make me remain relatively happy and stop caring about all the stupid things that generally get me down. I have felt that they make me a little stupid though; I feel a little "in my own world" a bit too much now. But that is a lot better than the alternative.
