I posted this in BLTC but no one had any advice. I think it belongs more in S & A anyway. I've had a girlfriend for almost four month now. She knew about my drug use from pretty much day 1 but she didn't care. She even brought up trying some weed or something sometime. But the last month or so she has been giving me way too much shit about it. I only get stoned about twice a week so I dont see what the problem is. I don't want to break up with her, but if she makes me choose she's gone. I know I need to figure out what's important to me, but I'd really rather find a way to keep both. So basically, what do you do if your girlfriend is giving you shit about your drug use?

Why is she giving you shit?

Money?

Health?

Personality?

My ex girlfriend originally had no problem with my tokin' as I didnt spend a fortune on it and as far as she knew I didnt do anything harder. Of course, I was rarely stoned when I was around her. When she moved in with me, it all of a sudden became a problem. She complained any time I was stoned, but wouldn't tell me why. She just said shit like "You have to stop smoking that shit, it's gonna fuck your head up"

Well we broke up long ago, but we stayed friends (to the extent possible, I guess) and talked about it after. She said I was a totally different person when I was stoned. She didnt find me interesting, anything that came out of my mouth was complete crap or vulgar, that or Id start laughing at nothing.

I smoke weed with my mates 99% of the time, and the stoned chat is usually revolving around females or stupid shit which has happened to us in the past. I guess I was mentally attatched to a certain stoned mentality.

You could just find out which you want in your life more

and pot can't get you free sex, thats for sure

Docta: She's not sure why she isn't happy about it (she actually said this). I dont think it's the personality thing because I only get high at home and she has only seen me fucked up once. She said I was really sweet, emotional, and happy and she wishes I was like that all the time...until she found out I was stoned. So it cant be the personality thing...but I dont know what it is.

Ouster: It sounds sad, but think about it for a second. If she would ask me to choose, she is a controlling bitch and she doesn't care about me as long as she gets what she wants. I'm not gonna give up drugs for a controlling bitch who doesn't care about me.

Forgot to mention: Its not weed, its mostly sleeping pills.

If she's making you decide "it's drugs or me" you should probably ditch her just for making an ultimatum like that.
