Default Telephones

I once had a friend that threw his phone through a door because he was annoyed over not being able to get ahold of people. It was a glass door and we hung plastic wrap over it for almost a year. The room was very drafty. He did the same thing with a mirror later that year. We fixed it with aluminum foil; the reflection was not of the highest quality.

I never before understood that there was frustration involved in not being able to talk to someone that you care about when you wanted to do so. My girlfriend's phone is a tool of the devil, one of which I am not fond.

Have you ever been frustrated by such a thing? What have you done?

well one time I would literally disappear for weeks on end during the summer months. That pissed my now ex gf off alot. She was always trying to call me or get a hold of me. But ya also she did the same thing to me so meh. I wouldn't care just be like whatever FUCK YOU! and calmly continue on with my day. If a person really wants to get a hold of me they should know how too.

Let's just put it this way, if people tried to contact me through &totse instead of by phone, email, or myspace, they would have a 10x greater chance.

So true. And for the record, phones are tools of the devil.

Peace

Personally, I never pick up my phone nor do I call people. So I always miss calls and I'm pretty antisocial like that.

The only way to ever get to talk to me on the phone is if someone messages me beforehand on email, msn, pm on any of my accounts.

Maybe some people are like that. They just might not realize that someone has been calling them for the past 4 hours without being told.

I can't go anywhere without my cellphone, but that doesn't mean I answer it everytime someone calls.

It does get annoying when people don't pick up their phone if you asked them to call, and I leave 1 message and if they don't get back to me it gets annoying.

I hate cellphones, I don't want to be easily contacted all the time, so I tell people only to ring if it's important.

I much prefer email/IRC etc. or by webcam.

The boyfriend-person or whatever never answers his phone. We were at my house once and his phone kept ringing and he completely ignored it, and when our friends are hanging out they all try to call him and he doesn't pick up. Then they figured out that he answers if I call, so they started using my phone to call... so now, if our friends have already tried to call, he won't pick up if I try. It's kind of annoying, but eh.

Well. I'm always quite nervous talking on the phone. Not sure why, but i really hate calling someone if they don't know i was planning on it.

But i still bring my mobile phone with me almost everywhere, because i get beaten if my mother can't get in contact with me

I have some nice dents in my walls from my phone. I'd post pics, but I can't find my camera right now.

Maybe later if this thread isn't dead by then. :P

I have two phones at the moment, although I usually only carry one. I'm not allowed to carry a phone while at work, so I find myself going to the locker room every 15-20 minutes to check messages/missed calls. While on breaks, and generally while not working, my phone rarely leaves my hand. Last Saturday I had to leave a party as my battery died and it was driving me crazy... so yeah, I need my phone.

Once, years ago, my girlfriend send me a text message saying she had finished work and asking where I was... i wrote my reply, hit send and my battery died... I smashed the phone off the wall.

One time I was waiting on a dealer in the freezing cold, sitting on my motorbike in some shady dark car park. I was playing with my phone to pass the time, and wrote a message saying "That bastard still isnt here" to send to a mate, but accidentally sent it to the dealer instead... it was the worst deal Ive ever seen.
