Default clingy dude...

When I go out casually or to gatherings I prefer to go by myself, if there's friends there I would join them for a while, see what's up... then I go about my business, and they respect that.

I love my friends and enjoy there company but I just don't like moving in groups or with someone else, except my girl... if i'm in a relationship.

Update below

So now, to the point. There's this guy, that all of a sudden got the idea in his head that I need a sidekick and pops up everywhere -- "yo, Jai!".. I mean it! he just appears everywhere -- like a shadow!

I know I should just tell him off, but I've know this guy for a long time and he is a cool individual, but I just don't want him in my ass... following me around.

Right now I'm trying to ignore him when he comes around but I'm feeling really low about that, and i doubt i can continue it.. so, any tips on how to tell this guy to stop following me around?

Update below

I wonder what Freud would have to say about that.

Well...its possible he thinks you're a goddamn loser for always going to movies by yourself.

Its also possible he is lonely, and needs a friend. Shame on him for that.

I've got ALOT of fuckin' annoying friends, but if I holed up and pretended that I was a broody little monkey just to keep them from puppying about...I wouldn't be able to turn to them, or enjoy their company when I was feeling up to it.

Theres a time for solitude and a time for comraderie. Priotitize, the problem might not be with him, but rather with you.

Let him know that you like to have some time to yourself when you're doing things. Explain and tell him that you'll get together later. Same way you deal with anybody that's too in your face.

It's an awkward conversation, but it's something everyone should have to do at least once.

Gus, I see your plan happening, i never wanted to do the whole match making thing but this is win-win.

Bazzle, there's no status problem with the people I know, I just like moving by myself i guess I just don't like to feel stuck in one place, with one set of people too long, in fact that's how I know most of my peeps.. and no i don't go to the movies by myself >:3

I don't really understand what was being said in the 3 paragraph...

hey, like i said anywhere i go and my friends/people i know are there i have to check them. that's just respect... and i do make time to just hang out and chill.

Euda, what you're saying is pretty straight foward but i guess I'm trying to avoid this, i dunno why -- maybe the awkwardness..

I have a friend like that. He's cool and stuff... but he pretty much NEEDS people to be around at all times.

It wouldn't be so annoying, but he's sort of dependant on other people. And he never wants to drive, so he can get excessively wasted... then he wants people to take him home right when he wants to leave.

Just tell him you don't feel like doing anything. Or leave when he shows up.

Update:

I actually went ahead with Gus' advice, i.e. get him a girl -- well... it sorta just fit into place, and I helped it along a bit... but it's not the happy ending you may have in mind.

Let me explain, the day after my post I was talking to this girl, I've known her for about 4 years, I personally never had any serious relationship with her, but she's pretty sweet. Since I've known her I don't think she was ever with someone, and I think it's her personality that's just.. like neutralizes any sexual advancement, and she has a fucking camel-toe the size of a -- okay, that's not important, but she's kind of this really playful person, with a lot of energy but she just plays of everything.. yes I've tried and we didn't get far.

There was some music last Saturday at the campus beach house and there were a few people there dancing and chatting, so we were just talking bout that. I remembered her dancing with the dude this thread is about and I just teased her on that, I went along and ask her what she thought about him, she was like "he's cool.", then the conversation cont'd on something else -- the plan didn't even register to me then!

I only remembered Gus' idea the same night, when she asked me for "the dude" phone# over MSN, I was like "you're really feeling the dude these days, aren't you?"... and I was shocked by the amount of details that was given to me after that question.. I was thinking "WHOA! where did this come from!!!"..

She basically said she liked the dude for a long time (they've known each other loooong before me), but his attitude got in the way.

*The Dude signs in*. BINGO! Copy & paste... he gets excited, I give her the number and tell him expect the call, problem solved! Right?

Nooo, the day after the next I got a call from a very angry girl, about "trust" and "my ways"...

What!!? the dude couldn't be that stupid to discuss me feeding him inside information, RIGHT!!?!

Turns out "the dude" didn't just say Jai said "u leik me", he pretty much gave her back everything I told him....

What was he trying to do?? -- i have no idea..

She now has the idea that we're both in on some "scheme". I'm not even going to try to explain anything, I'm not even going to say anything to the dude.. this is just retarded and childish.

so much for win-win, we both loose thx a lot Gus! .. nah, j/k.

but i really did mess up on the trust thing, but i'll resolve that later.

P.S. Euda's plan seems logical now... lol

There's a really clingly guy that lives in my flat and he's really dull as well. So I just ignored him for a while and he got the message that I'm not his biggest fan and doesn't do it any more.

Final Update!

So Friday Night I called up the girl to apologize, like I said I would . She seemed to be expecting it cause she was like "it's ok", I told her it wasn't and did the apology anyway. I was really selfish because I was just thinking how it'll end for me. She said she'll remember not to tell me anything personal again. Fair enough.

Yesterday I saw the dude, I asked him how it went, with him and the girl (I was going to bitch about him not being able to keep a secret, but then again I'm not any better)... he said she's a "silly chick" and he has his eyes on one of her friends.

ok then.

Now today, I got a call from the girl, she was bored and asked me if i was doing anything. I wasn't but I told her to come over and we'd head over to the beach.

When she came I felt uneasy around her because of what I'd done. I just wanted to gtfo of the house and to the beach, hopefully the tension wouldn't be so strong there.

She had gone to the kitchen and came back wet, lol! My sink been broken for about 3 months and I've just neglected it, I told her I was going get someone to come and look at it before we go. Her getting wet broke the tension a bit and we started chatting for a bit, but the conversation died quickly. That's when I had the bright idea to play Lego Star Wars II!! she wasn't up for it but I convinced her.

I gave her the controller and I was on the keyboard, I gave her a quick tutorial on the buttons then we were off! That was the most fun I had in a long time! Man we kicked ass, and we were just hi5-ing away.

We'd just finish an intense level with the fighter jet, we did it perfectly and we gave each other a big high five and a "FUCK YEAH!"

.. that's when it happened. She kept my hand after the hi5 then we started making out.

Everything happen so sudden, I wasn't even "prepared", there was no foreplay so we had one boring fuck to the STAR WARS THEME SONG that was playing in the background... the whole time I was thinking about changing the music. I was so unfocused I even busted in her, maybe I'd have a "is she preggs" thread later ..

Man, Gus your plan is responsible for all this ! lol, you made my week interesting and i scored

... oh yeah, i was asleep when the guy came for the sink and she took care of everything without waking me, man she so sweet >.<
