Well? How's your locale?. I see guys getting in the shotgun seat all the time. In no way is that less weird each new time I see it? Guys of all sorts with her driving.

What do you see when you see couples in cars, who's driving.

*slap*

shut the fuck up while I'm driving, bitch!

No smoking in my car, no dirty shoes in my car. No nasty skanks in my car.

If you tell me how to drive, I'll fucking tie you to the bumper. If you tell me how to park, I'll use you as a wheel jack.

If you 'advise' me on what sort of car to get, I'll take a tire iron to your face.

Just call her your little driving slave and make her drive you where ever you want to go. Make sure to thank her a few times, and even give her a kiss once in a while, but otherwise treat her like dirt and she'll love to drive you around. ;P

If your girlfriend insists on driving then always sit in the back left seat. That way it makes it look like you're a rich guy with a chaffeur who believes in equal oppurtunities.

My girlfriend drives me everywhere. I felt a bit odd to begin with. But I'm sued to it now. I haven't even started learning to drive yet (turned 17 in August). Its way too expensive. i live in a town, and there are bus links. I see no real need for a car. I figured I'll wait till I'm 21 so the insurance is cheaper. Maybe get one of those insurance deals with a gps tracker on it; so I only drive around for a bit and get cheap insurance and the no-claims bonus. meh.

Back on topic,

She is absolutely awful at parking and will admit it if she's in a good mood. Otherwise the most common retort is "Do you want to drive?" or if she thinks I'm correcting her "Do you have a license?"

But on the whole being driven isn't as bad as you think. Its easy to get used to.

quote:If your girlfriend insists on driving then always sit in the back left seat.

I always get in the passenger seat. Ha! I'm gonna have to try that once for a laugh. Get in the back.

Who drives is merely a symbol of who is the Man in the relationship. I don't let women drive my car unless I'm COMPLETELY smashed, and even then I'm pretty sure I drive drunk better than any woman drives sober. if it's her car I don't care, if she smashes it, she can pay for it. But she ain't touching my car. Also, if I see she's getting nervous and twitchy or something (ie Highway driving) I'll switch with her.

It's for her own safety, since I love her so much.

My ex was a damn good driver, and I'd be willing to bet she drives better than you do even while completely sober. It doesn't really matter.

I love to drive, and my ex had a nice car and a nice truck that she drove, so unless I was stupid drunk, I always drove whether it was my car or hers. She didn't really care, but I never really gave her much of a choice after the first time she offered. In school she used to give me her keys to go wherever I wanted with my buddies while she was in class. Given, I did take a great deal of care of her vehicles, fixing and cleaning, because of my natural affection for cars. It was pretty fun, and she was always good to use as a DD.

This thread is blatantly sexist. I mean step back and look at what you're asking. Why the fuck would it not be ok for a girl to drive? Preconceived notions about gender roles are rediculous, and basically just silly.

Cars are for invalids. There's nothing manly about sitting in a large protective metal cage moving with almost no physical exertion of their own.

I drive most of the time.

But i also let my girlfriend drive quite a bit.

When I had my Jeep(another girlfriend) she wouldn't drive it at all because it was a four speed. I tried to teach her, but she failed miserable. That, and she scared the fucking SHIT out of me when she drove.

My current one is a better driver, but still freaks me out a bit. I think I just hate being in the passeneger seat. But I let her drive me around if I'm out of gass. She wouldn't drive my Camaro around for the life of her(6 speed) I taught her to drive a manual, but she never felt comfortable. She hated when I'd get completely destroyed ass drunk because she'd have to drive home.

After a deer totalled my Camaro I had to settel for a Caviler, so the girlfriend doesn't mind taking my torn up ass home as long as she gets shagged the next day... I'm not joking either.
