I thought it would make a good story, so I figured I'd share it with you guys.

I've been kind of going after this girl for a while now. It hasn't really been working out, but she's the only girl who I actually like for her personality, so I figure it's worth pursuing.

Recently she's been showing more interest in me and we've been getting closer. So she invites me to a party last night. What she didn't tell me was that the girl who lives in the house is fucking bi-polar. Seriously.

We're all taking shots in the back yard when we hear screaming emanating from inside the house. The girl is having a fit because she thinks she smells cigarette smoke. (It's really just burning food, no one was smoking.) She's screaming at the top of her lungs how it's going to get into the furniture and her parents will smell it and bla bla bla and that we needed to get out of the house right then and there. Everyone's trying to talk to her and tell her about how no one's smoking so there's no smoke, but she just keeps screaming and telling them to stop being argumentative.

Well, no one's sober, so a bunch of us climb into the car of the girl who invited me. We chill there for a little while hoping she'll cool down. While we're in the car, me and the aforementioned girl start cuddling. We're a little more than tipsy, but nowhere near shitfaced, so we can still communicate pretty well. She seemed responsive to me, but I didn't want to pull any big moves on her because there were other people in the car. (Remember, this is HER car.)

So we get the word that the girl in the house has calmed down and that we can come back inside. A few do, while a few others are enjoying the car, so we stay there. After a few minutes, people start slowly leaving and it's down to the two of us and a second girl in the front seat.

The girl in the front seat can see that we want some time together, so she goes "I'll leave you kids alone." and opens the door to get out.

All is well until I get thrown a curve ball and strike out without swinging; The girl who I was with grabs the handle to her door, swings it open, and gets out while saying "No, that would be weird."

And that's how I got built up and knocked down. I figure if I was rejected by her when she's drunk, there's no way in hell she'll ever date me, so I'm packing up and moving on.

maybe shes just immature, or was afraid of doing stuff with you and didnt know what to say.

You didn't get burned, she just put her defenses up. Maybe she doesn't trust herself with you!

if you were actually cuddling, not what you considered cuddling while she was uncomfortable about being cramped in a car, she did it because she didnt want other people to know. Why she didnt want other people is another story in itself, and im not going to talk about all the possibilities.

my bet is that she is immature about sex. Otherwise she would have used a term besides "wierd".

Man that's nothing, you still have a chance. I was grinding/making out with this chick for like an hour at the bar. Then we talked for a while. I called her the next day and I'm like "Hey its me from the bar" and she says "uhh hold on one sec". In the background I hear "HE ACTUALLY CALLED YOU BACK!?" and she hangs up. That was pretty ego crippling, even though she basically made herself out to be a slut.

And guys, I wasn't expecting her to have sex with me. I was really just thrown because it seemed like things were going well and then she just spontaneously decided she didn't want to be alone with me at all. But thanks for your responses, I wasn't expecting any real advise.

Damn it. I was expecting a thread like "I burnt my face off trying to jump a bonfire, will I be a virgin forever now?"

That sucks dude.
