Well, let's start off with the basics.

Never been with a girl.

Never had a girlfriend.

Never even had the balls to ask a girl out.

17 years old.

Well, throughout my years thus far in high school, I've had a few friends (girls) that, well, I wanted to be more than friends with. I'm typically a pretty outgoing guy. I have no problems with confidence when hanging out with girls...as long as it's a "friendly" hangout.

Otherwise...I'm without a paddle.

So, the issue that has been the bane of my existance has occured once again. At first, I didn't even mind that much. "oh, just another unrealistic dream."

But then, just about a half hour ago, I was sitting next to her on a couch at another friend's house. Perfect, right?

Wrong.

One of my good friends was on the other side. They weren't getting it on, by no means. They were just...flirting. Nothing wrong with just flirting with a friend, right?

But it went on for 2 hours.

I don't know why I didn't leave the couch...but that's besides the point.

I need advice on where to go from here. Should I pursue the issue, tell her about what's going on in my head, and hope for the best?

Or, should I forget about her? There's plenty of other fish in the sea, right?

ughh, fuck. I'm sure you S&A regulars see similar threads all the time....well fuck you. I don't care.

Branch out man, and when you meet new girls, be up front about your intentions. You might be fucked since you been the shoulder to cry on for too long.

Yes, go for it, but think to yourself, do you really want this girl? Could you do better? Your friend might have the hots for her already, then, you might have a lesser chance in getting her.

My motto, Any guy can get any girl, they just got to stay confident with themself, if she turns you down, then you just got to work harder next time.

Seeing as it seems you don't have a lot of experience in the matter, I would say doing the old smooth stuff would be difficult.

So here's a starter for you...

Try putting your arm around her...That might let her know that you like her and it should become obvious as to whether she wants to go the same way.

If she doesn't object to your arm, try saying something nice to her that will definitely let her know how you feel.

All the best to ya, mate.

tell her how you really feel about her... that you like her and so on...

if you don't, she'll end up with someone else while you will end up listening to emo songs forever...
