Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
Hey girls of Totse, i need your opinion.
My arms and legs (especially my legs, i hate them) are hairy as fuck...Well not like those siberian dudes from kiddy pr0n...Anyway, i was wondering if i should/could shave my legs. I mean they're not just hairy, the hair is fucking curly and ugly as shit. Funny thing is that i have no chest hair, LOL, it's just my extremities. >.<
Seriously, should i shave 'em legs or at least trim them? If yes, how?
Thanks, i love you all.

I dunno, I wouldn't particularly like a man who looked like a pre-pubescent boy.
I like body hair on males.
But maybe that's just me.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
I've shaved my legs before (long story), but anyways, it's kinda fucked up. And it's a pain in the ass, and you might get razorburn.
Chances are, you'll look better hairy than hairless.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
You could shave your legs but the hair is going to grow back rather quickly and just as thick, since you are a guy and testosterone causes body hair growth. You'd have to keep shaving it (like every day?) in order to stay smooth.
If you want to reduce the amount of hair, wax your legs a few times. It'll grow back a tiny bit thinner each time. Same works with your arms or any other body hair.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
shaving only makes it grow back darker (scientificaly proved) and thicker (logicaly thought). i say secretly give your legs a bit of a wax if you can handle it or a occasional shave, but dont bother with the arms!!!

Just shave it or use nair. I do it all the time since I'm like a yeti. It feels much more satisfying afterwards.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
Wow modern society has pwned every man who thinks he is too hairy.
Women can be too hairy.. this is obvious.. women are meant to be youthful and hot.. not covered in hair and shit. Guys are meant to be bad ass and covered in hair.. not emasculated little girlie men.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
Google is your friend:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaving
Many people traditionally believed that shaving would cause the hair shaved to become thicker and darker. However, this bit of conventional wisdom has been disproven. The resulting stubble only makes the hairs seem to be thicker, as a shaved hair has a blunt end as opposed to the tapered end of an unshaven hair, and because hair is often darker in color near the root. Clinical studies have demonstrated that shaving does not have an effect on hair growth rates or density (see medical data below).
http://tinyurl.com/ynsh83
No, shaving will neither make your hair grow back thicker nor darker, nor grow any faster Shaving will not increase the diameter of your current hair follicles or grow back hair that you have lost as these factors are determined by genetics.
With new hair growth, the short hair shaft will be more noticeable, since it now has a blunt tip due to shaving, as opposed to the normal tapered tip. In addition, by letting your hair grow out, the new hair will be healthier and undamaged, because it has not been exposed to the elements, chemical treatments, blow drying, or normal day-to-day wear and tear. By avoiding or limiting the risks of hair damage such as these, you will have an increased possibility of having a healthier head of hair.
And: http://tinyurl.com/29umb6
MYTH
As you stand there holding your triple-bladed razor wondering whether or not to shave your happy trail, you might think the hair will grow back thicker. After all, doesn't it seem that freshly-shaven legs or face are eventually overtaken by thick strands of dark-colored hair?
Fear the hair no longer! Paul Birnbaum, doctor of dermatology at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, said shaving will not cause hair to grow back thicker. Hair thickness depends on a number of factors, including the number of hair follicles and genetics.
"The number of hair follicles clearly doesn't change by shaving," Birnbaum said. "(Thickness) is not affected by shaving. The only thing that affects (thickness) is what goes on in the follicle."
Go ahead, shave away that unibrow, upper lip or toe hair. It may be stubbly and weird, but it won't be any thicker on its way back.
And: http://tinyurl.com/yunlzj
And: http://tinyurl.com/26zebt
And from the Mayo clinic: http://tinyurl.com/ys23ug
See also: http://tinyurl.com/238xzh
I believe that's enough scientific proof that hair does NOT grow back thicker.

I've got the same thing, dark thick hair on my arms, legs, feet, toes, and fingers.
Its kinda annoying, but don't shave it.
In the time its growing back it looks like shit.
And although people deny it, I'm pretty damn sure it grows back thicker/longer.

"logically thought" no it does not grow back darker and thicker
why would rubbing a razor across your skin affect your genetics

How about you read my post? It does NOT grow back thicker or longer; it appears thicker or longer as it grows back, but it is NOT actually thicker, darker, or longer once it grows back.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
Shaving off your "baby hair", the first hair you grow is thin and usually not very dark, so the first time you shave it comes in thicker as it's no longer the thin light peice that comes back, it is the middle of hair, so it is thick and dark looking.

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
Advice from a girl:
No! Girls don't want to be rubbing up against a guy who has stubble on his arms and legs! You can shave it all off if you want, but it's going to be itchy and you'll have to shave like everyday to keep the stubble growth down!

I agree, and that's really what I do. And I agree, don't bother with the arms. That's a bit too weird. Everywhere else is fine, but getting rid of back hair is imperative.

True, I've just shaved my legs again and I know how quickly it grows back.
I need to wax...

Re: Shaving my legs? (For Girls)
i shaved my boyfriend's legs about a week ago. trust me, it's not worth it.
it was nice to feel right afterwards, but i felt like a child molestor because he looked 12 without hair (we took everything off... legs, pubes, stomach/chest, we even trimmed his armpit hair).
but the next day and for a good 4 days after that i could barely touch him because of the razor burn; and he couldn't stop itching and scratching himself.
if you must get rid of some of the hair, get one of those bikini trimmers that they sell and use one of the blade cover thingies to trim the hair. that way it's not too long, but you still have some.
