Default ugh (advice)

This is probably going to end up long...

Theres this girl (Isn't this how most stories here start?) I've been attracted to her for quite some time, about 1 1/2 years. BUT she had a boyfriend who was for the most part a physco. VERY possessive, jealous, and an overall shitbag. She finally breaks it off with him after over 2 years of dating. Alas! shes available. While she was still dating him we used to hang out a few times a week (in public, not alone) and we got along great. I could tell she had a thing for me and I know she got some of my signals.

So after they break up we started to hang out more often, but I didn't want to make a move yet because she was still getting over her last relationship. Then out of no where this new guy shows up. Then I realize I'm just "The friend." They start seeing eachother, it lasts a few months, then they break up.

I dont talk to her for a while, probably 2 months. On new years eve I decided to give her a call to she if she wanted to go to a party I was going to. She had other obligations, so she didn't end up making it. The next day she calls me, and we start talking again, just like we had in the past. She starts calling me more often, and wants to hang out. We get together a few times, and she seems really interested in me, as I am her. Then things just start to suck. We make plans to hang out, set a time, she doesn't show up or even call. I call her to see where she is/if shes still coming. No answer.

I still see her on campus, still talk to her, but never make any plans with her after that. I had a party a few days ago and she calls me and says shes coming over later. She doesn't live in the area so I offer to stay at my place, shes says great. Everything looks good until she shows up with that d-bag she was dating after she broke up wit her longtime boyfriend and some other guy. She stays for around 2 hours and then says she going to a party down the street, she'll be back in a little while, and if its still ok if she stays with me. I say yes, she leaves, never comes back. What do I think happened? She ended up staying with the other guy.

Am I getting played or what? Should I even bother with her or just move on?

Your problem is that you have expectations. Stop it! If you have no expectations then there will be no disappointments. Just stay laid back about the situation and if the stars align the right way then something may happen, and if they don't then as I said before no disappointments.

Sorry, but that was really bad advice, I just said that because that's what I do. Now, you got to decide which is more painful. If it's more painful to pine around for her then it is to simply let her go then let her go.

Not worth the trouble, to many fish in the sea. Go meet someone else.
