Other than the movies, where should i take this girl on the first date?

the park or beach. somewhere free. tell her you didnt want to go to the movies because you wanted a good chance to spend time with her and talk. then for lunch of dinner take her out for a meal.

I always like getting ice cream its nice to get one for the two of you so you can romantically feed her. Plus if she sucks you can leave fairly quickly.

Movies are good if you are a boring person or get very nervous and can't talk, most of the time when I do go on dates it goes like this.

Pick her up, small talk in the car, as we park and go outside i take her hand.

Walk over we buy tickets, paying is your choice and it really depends on this situation I like to pay for the tickets but then tell her she has to buy me the popcorn and drinks.

In theather move my hand to her thigh and start feeling around the area, depending on how open she is with that ill either go for the kiss or just keep my hand on hers while watching the movie.

If we didn't hook up during the movie as we are walking to the car ill come to her door and before she opens it ill kiss her.

Always attempt to hookup on the first date... after the kiss, I start driving somewhere along the way she asks where we are going I say my place, but offer to take them home if they don't want to.

Other nice places I have tried is a national park type place though it got dark and we got lost which sucked.

Starbucks is always nice.

Smoothie places are cool to.

Probably going to be movies...

Yea movies is great.

Just go eat dinner somewhere and drive around and talk and shit and if she wants to go to a movie then go.

Take her out, for dinner, or a coffee or whatever, then go for a walk somewhere nice, if its to cold, stay inside at a book store, or go in a mall to hang out. Preferably outside in nice settings.

too much 'telervision'...damn kids.

if its cold enough...go iceskating, plenty of opportunities to knock her on her ass or other ever so endearing acts.

...you should probably know how to iceskate, or have a befuddling charm as you get close and learn.

Influx how is this a bad idea?

Always been the best place for me personally.

Go to the pet store and look at all the animals, go to a few museums since most are free or cheap, go to a bookstore and walk around (the books should create many topics to discuss)...can't think of anything else.

Movies is the worst idea, just because the people in sitcoms and movies do it doesnt mean that you should, it is bad because its extremely impersonal, and unsocial (is that a word?).

I also live in Canada, i would have taken her for a walk, but its FREAKING COLD. So i took her to swiss chalet and paid for everything and made sure to tip. We talked about how that was the first time she had actualy had a dinner date and i mentioned how lame movie dates were to start with and she agreed fully.

Afterwards we went back to my place... GREAT SUCCESS

Yeah, I definately say no movies. I think that movies are very cliche. That idea requires almost no thought and almost everyone does it. If you're going to do the movies I would say that you watch a movie at your house. It is easier to talk freely when there aren't tons of people who might get pissed if you talk and you can cuddle. At the movies you can't get close due to the arm rests dividing you. Drive-in theatres! They are a great alternative to indoor theatres.

Picnic possibly? cliche, yes.. but how many people actually have picnics.

Depending on the type of girl you could take her to build a bear haha I know that it's a little kid store but I would think it was cute if a guy took me there.

I think the ice skating idea was good- rollerblading also.

You could go to a ceramics place and paint hahaha puppies together.

The park, definitely. The last first date I went on was during a blizzard though, so we just went back to my house and hung out.

The date lasted for 32 hours though, so it was a good choice, she chose to watch Monty Python and I was hooked. We fell asleep and hung out the entire next day.

Then I got drunk and fucked it up. Hey, if she wanted someone who didn't drink shots of 151 to prove he's not a pussy to his friends she should have specified that at the outset, right?

Where are good places to take girls for dinner? I'm still in high school, but I'm not a cheap bastard who'll take her to fuckin' Taco Bell or something. But I can't afford to be taking women to the nicest resturant in town (besides, you have to get too dressed up, so it's not fun to do shit afterwards like go to the movies)

I just went to TGI Fridays, and it worked out well. I told the waitress that is was her and another girls birthday, and they sang to them. They enjoyed it. Then we went bowling.
