lying about age
Lately I've been using a fake ID to get into the bars, and for the most part I've had no problems. However, my ID says that I am 24, instead of 21, when I am really only 19....I certainly don't look 24 at all.
Anyway, at the bar where I hangout at, it's mostly graduate students from the nearby university. I've been telling most of the girls that I meet there that I am 24, even though I do not look at all. Surprisingly, they believe it every time. The chances of my fake working seem to increase if I dress older, so I usually am dressed in business attire, so I also usually make up lies about how I work for a nearby law firm or something, which also seems to help my game..(hah as Dane Cook says, nothing more fun than a good lie).
My question is though, is it ever a really big turnoff for girls to date a guy who doesn't look his age at all? Does anybody go to bars and lie about everything about yourself? How do you handle the situation if a relationship begins to materialize, because this is also another issue I'm having...girl thinks I'm someone who I'm not.

Re: lying about age
Lol, I have this friend who's a compulsive liar, and he told his girlfriend that he was like 20, when he was really 18.
Another friend of ours would always fuck with him by making him run into the store to buy smokes for him, since you need to be 19 here.
His girlfriend didn't find out for like, a year. Although he's a bit of a master of deception. I stopped hanging out with him because of that. His whole life is a lie.

Re: lying about age
Oh, and I don't even know my first girlfriends' age. She lied about it, but I didn't care at the time, because I was so infatuated and happy to finally have a girlfriend.
Both of the above stories took place like 4 years ago, and I still don't know how old my first ex was.
Back then I didn't care, but I probably would now.
And when it comes to me meeting all new people at a bar when I go alone, instead of lying to them, I just don't reveal anything. Although when they drag it out of me, I tell the truth. Sometimes the age discussion doesn't even come about until it's pillow talk, but I don't see any reason to lie about it.

Re: lying about age
If you're looking for a relationship then I would drop the whole lying about your age thing. It will lead to an awkward situation later on when they find out that you've been lying to them. People general don't like being played for fools, lol.
As for whether I care if a person looks their age or not...In a word, no.

Re: lying about age
I used to tell people I was 26 because I've always been told I look a lot older than my age (18). People usually bought it without question. I wouldn't do it with someone I wanted to have a relationship (or even a decent friendship) with though.

When I was really promiscuous, I lied about my age constantly because I was a minor and I liked to frequent nightclubs and drink and sleep with older men. Also, while in the habit of lying and drinking, I'd fabricate so much. However, I never carried on a relationship with any of these men who I fed lies too.
To answer your first question, my boyfriend looks (25) a lot younger than he is (31) and thank god.

Re: lying about age
i'm 18 but i look way younger. like, to the point where strangers will tell me so all the time or get a horrified look on their face when i mention that i'm actually in university, not middle school. my boyfriend looks older than he is, which means he gets offered the alcoholic beverages menu in whitespot and the waitresses pretty much just think i'm his little sister or something. ok, well, it's not that bad...but to sum up, i guess he doesn't care that i look younger. even though i'm actually 3 weeks older.
and this whole age thing you're doing is going to come back to bite you in the ass at some point because sometime in the future, if it progresses into more than just dancing in a bar, they're going to find out that you're lying about everything and then all your hard work will be undone.
