Looks don't matter to me...to an extent. I don't want to HAVE to close my eyes during sex and feel guilty about it.

But I value a personality over looks. When I grow old with that special person, that personality is going to be much more important than looks. Plastic surgery can only go so far.

Of course looks matter to an extent, even if it's just for the first impressions. That's not to say that I wouldn't go out with a mediocre borderline ugly girl but there's gotta' be some really, really redeeming side. I'm not even trying to be a picky motherfucker either, I'm just trying to be honest.

I have to have some kind of initial physical attraction, but I'm not picky. Also the more I get to know a girl and realise that I like her the more attractive she seems to me. It's like hard to seperate what part of the attraction is purely physical.

I guess looks do matter to a point, but it's really all about personality.

Initially, looks are definitely important. It's only after time that you really get to know somebody, and that is when looks matter less/personality matters more.

What you don't understand about looks is that we find people who are pure attractive. A person who is of greek descent all the way back to the beginning of time would be more beautiful then someone who has mix race. My proof look at dogs, if they are of pure breed people want them more. I have german and cherokee in me. so I'm a half-breed, which makes me pretty high up there on the attractive scale.

Looks are important, there's no denying it. However, almost anyone can be good looking if they stay in good physical shape and take care of themselves.

I actually feel really sorry for women in this respect, because men primarily care about looks and most women don't age very well at all. You almost never see a hot woman older than 35. This is why most women fuck around until their late 20s and then desperately try to latch onto a man to leech off of just before their looks start to fade.

Meanwhile, looks are not as high a priority in what women look for in a man, and men usually age much better than women do, so we have a huge advantage there.

I'm shallow. Looks usually pull me in first, and the personallity seals it. With my current boyfriend it was different though. He's not the hottest guy I've ever dated, but he has the best personality. So he's very attractive, in my eyes. I'm really big on intelligence too. If we can't have a conversation ranging from everything from cars, to ancient civilizations, to science, to philosophy, etc. it's not going to work. I think that's the deal breaker actually. I'll put up with an asshole if he's smart, I can just be a bitch right back.

There are enough good looking, intelligent girls around to be getting on with. If you're fat, ugly, stupid and annoying, you're just gonna have to pay...
