Default Love and Imagination

quote:Excerpt from V.A's wifes wedding vow:

You're everything I am, and all of what I need..

For just a moment, close your eyes and imagine.

Imagine you have a partner in life you love more than anything in existance. Imagine this partner in life is your wife, girlfriend, bar buddy, comrade, lover.. whatever you refer to her as..

Imagine this partner is with you through it all; great days, bad days, dirty socks on floor, skid-marked underwear, didn't flush toilet, stayed home from work sick, grandpa just died, moms got cancer, dad was laid off..

Imagine everything you've ever fought, or cried, or wished, prayed, sweat, bled or hoped for takes the embodiment of this one person who completes your lifes puzzle more than anything else.

Imagine this person accepts you unconditionally not for what you are, or what you were, but WHO you are right now, at this moment, and for what you may become. It becomes so easy to walk away from a relationship when it gets rocky. Someone once said, "Anybody can die for someone... but to LIVE for someone, that takes courage".

quote:Said by V.A. to his wife:

The greatest thing about you waking up next to me... is that you don't have to

Imagine that.. for just one year.. Divorce and Adultry were erased, just one. "Till Death do us part" fulfilled, "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse" made whole. Lifelong partners were truely lifelong partners, and soulmates really did exist.

Imagine the most recent fight you had with your significant other, in vivid detail, from beginning to end, and ask yourself this, "If my significant other RIGHT NOW suffered sudden, instant, and immedient death, would whatever we're fighting over be justified?".

Imagine for a moment..all the things you could be doing right now to make your significant others life better..happier..more worthwhile to live, but are not. Imagine them, and ask yourself, "Why?"..

Imagine...

---

As a side note, I imagine I'll get flamed pretty good for an, "emo" post.

Go right ahead.

-V. Archimiel

I don't have to make that momentary suspension of disbelief.

Felt all of that before. Still does reside in a dark corner in my mind. I guess she didn't feel the same way though after 2 years. I guess I wasn't enough. And from the sounds of it, the jackass who has taken my place, isn't going to cut it either.

I like this detail the best...

Seriously though, the part about remembering your last fight. That kind of touched me, because when I think about all the dumb shit me and my boyfriend have fought about...*shudder*

He means he doesn't have to imagine.

I don't either.

Your post was a joy to read. It feels a little like reading about how great the new Bugatti is... while knowing it's in the garage waiting for you. No guilt, because I do everything I can for her. No longing, because she does the same for me.

All that's left is the wedding ceremoney!

Heh, last "fight" me and the girlfriend had was on a bus on the way to Hammersmith station. She's absoloutely terrible to travel with, and owing to the horrendously bad traffic in London thought we were going to miss the coach home. She gets very panicky in those kind of situations, and when I tried to calm her down all she would do is snap at me.

I was being completely seriously about the fight thing. If you and your wife, or husband, or whomever.. get into a fight, scream & cuss at each other, and GOD FORBID one of you says, "I hate you" to the other, then 5 minutes later they are killed in a car accident?

You'll lose your fucking mind over it.. EASY.

I allways try not to argue and then leave. Imagine if that was the last time you saw that person and they died thinking you hated them..?

So no matter what, when go to work I'll allways hug my boyfriend and say 'I love you'. So even if I get stabbed or mobbed at work or attacked or run over on the way home at 4am, atleast he'll know I love him. As much consolation as that might be :S

Hmm...That’s the whole problem right there. Your Imagining. It may be nice to imagine, but it’s not for real. Who really thinks that they will really find someone like that? And for those who think they did. Congrats, but there will be bad times, there will be times where you don’t even want to look at them, there will be times where you will be sick of them completely. Sorry if I’m being offensive, but just opening your eyes for ya...

I know for fact that vampy and his wife dont need to imagine it. They've got it.

And having bad times doesent change the fact that two people might be perfect and amazing together, it just means their human. And if two people can stay together through all the shit that hits them, they'll be even stronger.

..And no, not all people need to be on cocaine to beleive things like that.

I thought this was going to be a post about the creative capabilities created in love; the amorous exploits of the poets depicted as though in dreams.

What you posted was nice too, just wasn't what I was expecting.

But, yes, people do tend to take themselves way too seriously way too frequently, causing them to lose perspective, and far too often lose what was best for them. I

I remember arguing about stupid shit all the time, but after like 10 minutes I would say sorry and just go back to normal. She could never do that. She would literally stop talking to me for days over nothing.

As I look back on my whole relationship, I would say it was pretty much completely one-sided. That said, though, I am still miserable.

This post really didn't help, but I am glad you and your wife are doing well.

A good rule to follow is "Would I have said this to her the first day we were married?"

And it would be nice if not only you but also the 'Brains of the Outfit' would post here more often.

What you and she go through , many others here will go through...maybe sooner than they think.
