What's better?
Whats better: A lie that draws a smile or the truth that draws a tear?

Re: What's better?
If I wanted to see those bullshit relationship quotes, I'd look in any one of the thousands of AIM profiles that contain it in an effort to look cool. Which is better, shutting the fuck up or...no, thats it. Shut the fuck up.

Re: What's better?
The lie:
Baby, I'll love you forever.
Baby, I've only got eyes for you.
Baby, you look fine in those pants.
Baby, you're the best sex I've ever had.

It may be a BS relationship quote but I am genuinely curious for the answer.

Re: What's better?
In my experience, my boyfriend always tells me the most amazing things. He's also an actor and I can tell that some of the things he tells me are potentially fabricated/exaggerated. However, it always makes me feel good, ignorant or not.
In the end, I think that the motive of his possible lies are for a good cause. Why else would he go to such an extent to keep me in love with him? Plus, I don't want to be the bitchy girlfriend and call him on it, haha.
But, when I settle down and move in with him, this might change a little.

Re: What's better?
No lies. I don't like spending extra brainpower worrying how truthful someone is. I just want to be able to take things at face value without the bullshit.

Re: What's better?
Relationships are based on truth. The world is shallow enough without me making up some lie to compliment someone.

True, but it's also deviod of real feeling for the liar. When it catches you up, and you realise what you've missed with one person because you were so busy lying to another you you'll feel the most regret that you ever have in your entire life.
