I'm not entirely sure this is the right forum, but I figured it's closest to it.

Anyway, I got a script for the pill last Monday, but due to an unfortunate insurance snafu, I won't be able to pick it up until Sunday. I was told that I needed to start the pill on "the Sunday after my period", (I got it a couple of days ago) but my doctor told me if it started this week to start the pill this Sunday.

My question is, do I start the pill next Sunday, or am I going to have to wait another full month?

I would start it next sunday. When I started the pill I was in a similar situation and I waited a month. Looking back I think it doesn't really matter.

Keep in mind I'm not a doctor. If you start it next sunday I would imagine that it could change your cycle a little but it's no big deal. You won't get your period again until you are on the last week of the pill, if it has placebo pills - or the week that you don't take any pills if yours have no placebos.

When I had pills, they said the day right above the pill, to keep track. It started Sunday and that is why I started on a Sunday. You don't actually HAVE to start on a Sunday, though.

Start taking them on the Sunday that you pick them up. At the end of your period is close enough to "after".
