I've only shaved my face with an electric razor. It has a face shaver, and clippers (with teeth) for sideburns and such. I also have an unopened regular razor that came in the mail for a promo or something like that. I've trimmed up before with the clippers but I want a lot of it gone. What are some good tips for using a regular razor for the first time? Should I shave them in the shower? Clean up with the clippers, then use the razor? I feel real fucking retarded posting this, but my dad was too much of a prick to teach me how to use a regular razor.

Nair everything.

Use the clippers first. Get it down nice and short. Then put shaving cream on, and just shave it. If you want it closer, go against the grain. Might give you more irritation, but it's cleaner and nothing a little lotion won't fix.

Pretend you're mowing a lawn, and just shave in rows until the cream is all taken off..

Fuck...Now I gotta get shaving cream. I went against the grain and used the razor while in the shower...the "hair line" receded a bit from it but I do feel a little burn.

pft no you don't, shaving cream is for girly men, i always shave in the shower just using hot water and it's fine. in fact it's generally when i use shaving cream that my chin itches after like mad.

well when you use that electric razor on your pubes and its a fucking mess, it's gonna just tug on them and get caught on a few hairs (Yes it SUCKS, I speak from experience.)

So what I like to do is put a comb at a reasonable level in the pubes and shave off everything from that line off.

You can get that down to about a prickly buzzcut, then i let the shower run for a while until i start to sweat/moisture builds up then i do a quick dip in the shower and shave the fuck out of the little stubble until its gone.

Usually I just get it down to stubble though but its REALLY fucking ugly and pricks you if you ever lay down on your stomach.

Do what the others mentioned. Trim it down as low as you can get it, then lube up with shaving cream and get it off. Manual razors pwn for this. I doubt an electric shaver/trimmer could do shit. I don't understand the appeal of those. Just get a fucking Gilette Mach 3 and shave that bitch. Get your balls while you're at it. Trust your hands.

electric razors dont suck for ball shaving, in fact its all i ever use (yes i have 2... i dont shave my face with a ball shaver). I use a foil though, i can see shaving your groin with a triple head shaver to be painfull. Only problem i noticed after the shave was when the pubes started growing back it was prickly as fuck, so keep'em down
