A kiss on the cheek.
Sometimes that's all it takes to get you all worked up.
It really is the little things that are great.
I'm completely falling for someone, and it scares me but at the same time I love it.

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
Kisses on the cheek, and on the forhead mean SO much more to me then a kiss on the lips, or making out.

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
firekitty you know you aren't falling for them. It is just a void you are trying to fill, when you really fall for someone, I mean the person that completes you. Your need to tell people increases, but at the same time you have no need to tell anyone. To find utter happiness in someone that can read you as though you grew up together.
You didn't find it, only a glimpse of it. Not telling you that you are wrong, just letting you know what is still out there. Don't get hooked just yet.

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
Who gives a fuck if it's not 'the real thing'?
It feels good. That's what matters.
IMO, kisses on the forehead, whilst nice, dont mean alot to me because they're what big patronising people like my big bruv do.
I thought forehead kisses were an affectionate thing but not an 'I love you' thing?

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
I get all "worked up" just by having a lovely woman whisper my name into my ear, in an ever seductive tone. Or whisper anything. And that moment just before two lips meet, the more that moment gets drawn out, the more worked up I get.

I'm out of the loop here...is firekitty751 otherwise known as Jilly Bean ?
Also, I have never, EVER, gotten "worked up" over a kiss on the cheek or on the forehead. Those kind of kisses make me think of family, particularly Aunt's and Grandparents.

Last night I went out on a date with this really cute girl, things went great and when we got to her door I asked for a kiss on the cheek . And I got the sweetest kiss I had ever gotten!

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
I (as a guy) never blatantly ask for a kiss on the cheek. Considering I have pretty light colored facial hair, and I'm liberal with its length, I'd hate for a girl to unexpectedly get a face-full of follicles. Now of course, if they are aware I'm a bit shaggy, then by all means they can kiss me.
I've never been much of a cheek/forehead kisser either. Hmmm, would you folks think that a cheek/forehead kiss would bridge the gap easier between the un-kissing relationship and the making out relationship?

Hey, if you want to do everything that feels good then by all means, go ahead. I am not going to stop you. I am not your mother, or your father, neither is anyone else here. If you think that you just want to go with what "feels" good, and not with what you know is right. Eh, that is your choice.
I just see it as, although the first time you meet someone, sleep with someone, kiss someone, it is great. Until you realize that you don't mesh as well as you thought and that this person isn't for you. Then you are too afraid to leave. Just giving you some insight into avoiding those situations, and not to get worked up.

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
I've never had a kiss on the forehead, because I have a fringe anad it's just easier to kiss the top of my head. Being short and all.

I like kissing a girl's forehead, but there aren't too many places that I'm not big on kissing. It's dripping with deep affection.

A kiss on the forehead is respectful. It means 'I respect you'... but a kiss on the neck is full of passion and means 'I want to rip your clothes off!'... If I have to choose, I'd be kissed on the neck everytime.

But feeling happy, or even thinking 'OMG IT'S LOVE!!!' when you get a kiss, whilst maybe not smart, isnt that harmfull.
It's not on the same level as fucking random strangers or sharing needles. I hope. :S

It is harmful. Think of the pain it will cause when said person goes off and fucks someone else. People are assholes, and only show affection to get something they want.

Re: A kiss on the cheek.
Carbon, I actually really appreciate your post.
I do realize that most likely, yeah, this probably isn't the real thing. I would like it to go somewhere though, and we're taking things slow.
You guys know how it is. There are always nerves, but not quite like this. I get nervous/excited when I know I'm going to see him, but I'm not afraid of getting hurt. He's not exactly a "safe" choice, but for some reason I really feel like I should take a risk with it... which is something that's been hard for me to do.
