Default Getting over it.

I just don't get it. Most of the time, you have people sobbing wildly, at the fact that their relationship faultered and fell apart. Alright, we get the point, it's over, move on. Seriously. It's not like there's anything that you can change. They didn't want to be with you, or you didn't want to be with them. The fates cannot be changed in order to please one person, you'll find something better (Or go emo and kill yourself... bloody emos...). So just get over the fact, NOTHING can be changed, and when that other special someone comes along, and you fall in love all over again, sure, it'll be different, but if you DIDN'T get through that first pang of pain, then you wouldn't experience the joys of the new relationship... Now saying this, I don't want anyone (Especially my certain lady friend), to think that I'm heartless. Sure, if/when we are no longer together, it'll sting, but I'll be get over it, and move on. It's really the only human thing to do.

Anyways, S&A, what's your par-take on what I just said?

It sounds like overcompensating for a perceived emotional wound with barbs planted to forcefully demonstrate a callous nature.

What's all this about "the fates"? Do you have no ability to influence your future?

While what you say has obvious merit, it's unnecessary in the least, and sounds more like gloating or manly superiority (perceived) than anything else.

The emotional barbs in my life might stem from when I was ostrasicid when I was at an emotionally weak point in my life, which then caused a hardening through a few years.

How can you look at the things in your life, and not see that there is a chosen path that you have taken? Obviously if the route that you took takes you to one point in your life, it just may be preditermned to go in another direction. The way one person acts rarely changes, unless it's a movie, or there is a massive interjection, which can also be looked upon as if by fate. The way my life has been crafted, and the way it is going, I can choose anything I wish, but it might as well be predetermined because I still know how I'll act, or how I have acted in the past. Sure, slight changes may happen, but I'll always look at it with logic in my eye, and my heart in my back pants pocket (Meaning I'll always take it apart with pure logic, the emotional side of life is for my Girlfriend, which I suppose what makes us such a good pair...).

I find it amazing at how when someone askes a question, and when they already have an opinion on it, states said opinion, it is considered that they are bragging? I was pointing out MY outlook on the subject, so I would not have to state it later on, and yet I'm gloating about it?

Perhaps it would have been better to save your opinion for a reply to somebody who needs it.

Then what would be the entire purpose of starting this? Start with a question? Not really my style... I tend to throw out how I feel about a topic, and then see what people feel differently, then talk with them about it, to see how it differs, and then if my opinion has any flaws about it. I might then change my opinion accordingly.

Okay while I believe you are correct in your assessment of the topic, I think you could have written it better, which would attract more and more relevant replies.

Alright, could you possibly lead by example? I haven't seen a topic started by you, and this is only my third topic started (Hence my low post count), could you possibly take my OP, and edit it to resemble something that a GOOD opening post might look like?

So... How do 'I' get money? If it happens in 8 months? Or if I last longer? ... How does betting on one's self work?

Well technically you haven't placed your bet until you send me the money. Paypal OK?

Basically you need paragraphs. Without them, it becomes a chore to read it, and thus the negative responses arrive.

PS I don't post new threads unless I need to. This is advice, and I usually save advice for other people's threads.
