Default Alright Girls, a Question.

You work in a supermarket. You've seen this guy looking at you a couple of times, a few months apart. He's pretty cute.

You look at him back, while he's in line, while he's being served (you haven't served him yet because you're in the 10 items or less checkout, and someone else always calls him, but he looks at you and smiles), and when he leaves he gives you this sexy look. You smile.

He comes back, and lets people through until he's able to be served by you. He makes small talk, smiling flirtatiously and never lets his eyes off you. When he gives you his money, under the bill there's a note which he makes sure you notices, before winking, getting his stuff and walking off, giving you one last sexy look as he goes.

On the note, it says that this boy is shy, but he can't take his eyes off of you. He thinks you're the most beautiful girl he's ever seen, but he knows you have a boyfriend because he asked a co-worker.

He says he's not about to cut somebody's lunch, but instead of moping around in self-pity, he's going to do the only thing a self respecting man can do: never give up hope.

On the bottom is his full name, email address and signature.

What do you think?

sweet, cute. it depends on his posture and how genuinely confident his facial expressions seemed as to whether i determine him to be slightly pathetic or titillatingly sexy.

I am him, and I've screwed up one smile. But instead of looking annoyed at me, she sorta looked down like it was her own fault... I haven't given the note yet.

Her boyfriend works with her at the supermarket, I'm thinking open flirting around co-workers would be a bad idea!

Which is of course the route I would have gone down had she been single

Thankyou girls!

Very prompt responses.

I was almost turned off of this idea by a girl I hardly know, so I decided to explain the situation in detail to you all.

You have helped regain my confidence back. Here's hoping. I shall attempt this next week, or on the weekend.

And yes I'm lame, but at least I'm honest

Umm. Just put your name and number.

The detail about knowing about her boyfriend, and you being shy, but never giving up hope... that's creepy.

I have to agree with firekitty.

Should have only been name and number.

Saying you know she has a boyfriend, sort of makes you sound like a stalker.

I asked her co-worker, and it says in the note that that's how I found out her name and status.

Also, this particular co-worker will tell her at the first opportunity. I've asked her (co-worker) when this girl is getting off work before, when the girl was working next to her (after much eye-flirting). Which I saw her telling her as I walked out, as she didn't know, but I was already on my way as she was asking...

Anyway she knows how I know, and I make it clear in the letter too (it's more of a letter k).

Oh and I asked the co-worker because she wasn't there.

Hmmm! I strongly agree that the note should be simpler, but not just name & number. That is too easily taken as a mere compliment and tossed aside. You need something short and sharp, but not so dry. Definately dont mention that you spoke to her co-worker, hearing that from her collegue after she gets your note, will emphasise that somebody likes her and spike her interest. Its also possible she wont be able to definately connect the two incidents, which will be exciting and intruiging for her. ANNNYWAY... (I would have used paragraphs if I could ) - Altogher a cute idea, but the more u write, the more stalkerish it is. <3 XoX

Dude.

The fact that you're TELLING her that you asked a coworker is creepy. It's fine if the coworker says something, because they'll say something like "ooh this guy is interested." If you tell her directly, it comes off as "hi, i'm fucking desparate."

TOO MUCH INFORMATION IS BAD!

Don't tell her you're shy. Most beautiful girl? We hear that all the time, it can't always be true. We only accept such praise when we decide that you're worthy of our company.

The thing about not giving up hope is lame. What the fuck are you hoping for? You don't even know the girl. Wait until she actually rejects you to say that.

Yeah man, you're fucking creepy. I mean, you're saying you're never going to give up hope - which is creepy enough in a regular relationship - but to someone you've only SEEN? You have no idea what she's like!

Ugh you misread me. I'm saying there that I'm not going to be a douche and break them up, but I won't back away either.

It's not 'oh omg oh liek I love ewwweee!!! Marry me I'm going to give you a piece of my heart LITERALLY I HAVE THE SCALPEL RIGHT NOW DATE ME OR I'LL BLOW THIS FUCKING BUILDING UP!!!'

I'm not a moron, just a little bit infatuated.

And the beautiful thing? I know. I know you girls hear it all the time. But by god I've never meant it more in my life.

I've decided on advice from a close friend to back it off and start small. The letter I wrote was emotionally charged, and while I believe that it could work with this girl, as such an approach has worked before, I suppose it would make much more sense to start safe.

Dude, you can give her your number and address, etc, but she IS ALREADY TAKEN so if she really is in love with and tells her BF, they will either laugh at you or he will get mad and and come to kiell you. Not to mention staring at you whenever he sees you in the store.

Post pics so we can see if you're really THAT cute.

Dude, notes are creepy. If I was her I'd read it, get kinda freaked out then rip it up. Humans, being a generally social species, like TALKING. Dunno what's up with all the girls in here posting "aww how sweet" and crap. And the fact that you talked to one of her coworkers about her? Stalkerish. Very.

He sounds ridiculous. The sheer weight of smiles and winks and flirtatious bullshit would be liable to crush me to death.
