Default Saving oneself for marriage

I met my wife about 3 years ago. I was a virgin at the time, as was she. Due to her religious convictions, we never had sex, until november when we got married.

Although it was very difficult to keep our hands off each other for that long of a period of time, I found that it was really nice to not have sex with anyone until marriage for 3 reasons:

1)It gives you a perfect time to have sex for the first time, you're both ready, and all that.

2)After you first have sex, you don't have to stop having sex for any period of time. I have one of those addictive personalities, and I quickly became addicted to sex. I find it difficult to get through the week she's on the placebo pills and is having her period. I would hate to have had sex with a woman and then break up with her and be without sex for weeks at a time.

3)You're both new at sex when you start off. She doesn't compare you to everyone else she's had, because she hasn't had anyone. Your penis can't be too small, she can't be terrible at sex, anything like that, because whatever you're having is the best you've had.

Those are my thoughts, what are yours?

I'm not necessarily going to wait until marriage to have sex, but I'm also not just going to fuck the first girl that will just to say that i'm not a virgin.

First time I have sex will be with someone I really really care about.

I respect that.

Sex outside of a meaningful relationship is just masturbation with another person.

Yes kids, if you have a small penis marry a virgin cause she won't have anything to compare it to. Great arguments there.

K, let's say you have sex with someone who has incredible skill in sex, then you fall in love with someone who sucks really badly. You want to marry that person, because you love them, but you'll never feel as good about sex with them as you would with the person who was great at it. If you'd have waited until the person you married, then you wouldn't have that problem.

That's my point.

Marriage and love aren't based on how your partner rates in the sack from 1 to 10.

Plus

You're ruling out that people can learn to be good, which they can.

i do respect those that wait for marriage to have sex, but its questionable if i would or not.

That's true, but still, everyone, no matter how much they love their partner, will still have thoughts about the woman/man who was great at sex. That breeds nothing but bad things. If you wait until marriage, there's nowhere to go but up. Sex will only get better.

Before I continue let me say that I'm not anti-waiting for marriage and I'm not anti-marriage. However:

[QUOTE]Originally posted by Jaryohem063:

That sounds a little lazy to me. I mean, the day you get married is a day like all others. I mean getting married doesn't make you ready for sex, you're ready when you're ready. And to say that waiting to get married gives you the perfect time just makes it sound like you were too lazy to find a good time to be romantic before.

What? You've never heard of the miracles of masturbation?

3)You're both new at sex when you start off. She doesn't compare you to everyone else she's had, because she hasn't had anyone. Your penis can't be too small, she can't be terrible at sex, anything like that, because whatever you're having is the best you've had.

Again, this just sounds lazy. You don't want the competition so you need to find someone too naive and ignorant to know how much you suck in bed.

I mean, there's definitely an upside to waiting for marriage but I don't think it's any of those things. The upside is controlling unwanted pregnancies and the spread of disease, niether of which you mentioned. You're more interested in making sure the first girl you sleep with is too dumb to know whether or not you suck or not and that's just selfish and lazy.

Cheers,

Lost
