So I have a friend I really want to start dating. Now she has periods of on and off where it seems she would want to and otehrs when it seems she wouldn't. So I want to go take her out somewhere that is fun, and not the movies. Something like a date type place without it saying, "hey im taking you on a date" if you know what I mean. Money isn't a big issue, however the current weather is. About 2 feet on snow on the ground and about 35 degrees F regularly.

I think I have the same problem as you, mostly (except I can't tell if she's really busy or if she blows me off all the time... anyway back on topic).

I've always heard that in this situation, you should go somewhere with some mutual friends, plan a night out with them or something. I wouldn't worry about whether or not she can see straight through your plan, and I don't think you should try and hide your motives. Apparently, confidence is sexy (Off topic again, I should try and find some of this confidence substance).

As for exactly where you should go, I have no idea. I'm seriously really bad at that kind of shit.

Nah she wants ya go for it. Women pull that shit all the time. She's just playing hard to get or something retarted like that. She will always be a woman and play stupid games so its up to you to be the man and take the first step. Honestly it'll be fine.

Go witha group of friends but use the time to get closer to her. So it doesn't look like a date but you still get to be close to her. It's gotta be a situation where theres gonna be a lot of talking. Useing a web foroum really doesn't show you have a lot of confidence.

Well I thought she was playing games to. And confidence is always an issue in every guy, except the "arrogant sterotype" which most women don't like.

Basically I manned up to it, got "I don't think its a good idea." I know she likes me she just doesn't want to date me right now. Probably due to several reasons, one being i recently "officilly" broke up with my GF. She moved away for college and when she came back we broke up. And 2 and a half years ago I had a big crush on her and she knew it but I never did anything. That went away and she might think its that again. I dunno.

So things I've found out so far:

-I have 'meh' confidence

-She doesn't want to date me

-But she likes me

Any other ideas, and we're going skiing possibly 2 times next week. So, yeah.

Whoa whoa whoa man! Hold up man! First off, I used to have a lack of self confidence. Then I went through a personal Hell and convinced myself I kick ass nowawdays.

So now I'm just confident, cocky, and yes, sometimes arrogant.

Trust me! You CAN get confident, just convince yourself you are, or go out and do stuff to build it all up!

The hotness isn't an issue. Nor is confidence. I don't consider myself ugly, or to skinny(im 6'0 - 130lbs). Plus talking to people is easy. But I manned up to it, stupidly I might add, "Would you mind if I ever took you on a date." Reply: "I don't think it would be a good idea."

I do think of her as any girl, except a awesome friend and someone I care for, regardless if I'm "diddlin her pooter"(name that movie).

It sucks cuz she gets shit on by guys all the time, and whenever I want to fix that I can't. And she keeps going back to the guys. It probably doesn't help her longest relationship is 2 months, and it wasn't even a "relationship" for most of that. and She is 19, and I'm 19. Anywho thats mindless stuff that has no purpose.

So I fucked up once, what is a way of going about this subtley for a few motnhs til maybe I pass the test, I guess.
