Lay-by
I was out at a friends metal gig on the 23rd, and we had to do a food run to coles(australian walmart for you overseas people). so were there, and one if my friends sees some girl, about 12 (were all 17) and he's checking her out. my other friend says somethign about it and he goes "dont worry man, im just looking around for somethign to put on layby".
by that time were all pissing ourselves laughing.
mind you this said friend is the wierd guy, that stands in the back corner and looks funny at people. i should probably get him to become a totsean. haha
discuss?

Haha I don't know who you are Costanza but your posts are awesome from what I've seen.
But yeah get the dude to become a totsean and then have him post his situation here.
And what the hell is layby supposed to mean anyway?

Re: Lay-by
Ah. Well in that case I assume you mean me to discus the outrageousness of a 23 year old wanting to fuck a 12 year old?
I can't really say I care all that much. As time goes on I find myself turning more and more to hedonistic practices. The only thing that would bother me is if he chose to date her *shudders* otherwise I could imagine myself fucking a twelve year old if she was hot enough.
Though I'd lie about my name and try to keep any sort of "DNA evidence" to a minimum.

Re: Lay-by
i think he meant for her to be as a future girlfriend. which is kinda wierd.
oh and a layby is when you buy something and you either pay it off as you go, or pay it off all at once, and the store keeps it until your ready to pick it up. its an australian term, i think.

Actually they tend to be the same thing. At least if you're from an older oz family.
Infact I'm told that some old guys there still use a form of our 'rhyming slang'.

Re: Lay-by
I'd agree with Costanza. We're far more americanized then we are British. So much so that wiggers are becoming prolific even in my little town of 8 thousand.

Re: Lay-by
My bad. I really shouldn't post in the morning until i've had at least 3 mugs of coffee.
What I was trying to say is that a large chunk of Australian genetics and heritage are cockney in origin. And that Australian English still shows some of its origins too (even if, like me, your experience of OZ-English is mainly down to the kids watching 'Neighbours')

I'm not disputing that. But the main influence on Australian society is without a doubt the American media. I can't say I've ever heard people talking in a way that seemed remotely British.

Where isn't it
Journey into the deepest darkest jungle and you'll still find a sign proclaiming things go better with Coke.
And you might be confusing modern british with 18th-19th century cockney/thieves Cant (which is why you probably haven't recognised it)

FUCK.
Don't let anyone watch Neighbours. That show is a disgrace to this great nation, and the fact that it's broadcast internationally hurts me deeply.

C'mon, neighbors is a laugh; remember when Dee Bliss the blonde nurse died on her wedding day?
I'm sure we could all learn a lot from shit like that! :P

Re: Lay-by
Im Australian!
And coles is a supermarket, not a wal mart.
BIG W is our version of wal mart you dumb bastard.
Laybys are appropiate when the girl looks to be older than 16/17/18 but is in fact 13/14/15. (http://www.alexchiu.com/intelliscript/in.cgi?id=1167359334)
People who use it to make calls about children are fucked and you should pop them in the mouth.
