Over Protective!! help...
Ok... here is the story of my girlfriend whom I love very much.
Currently she is 17 years old, I am 16. She lives with her 2 aunts and her uncle, because her mom was murdered some 8 years ago. Her aunts treat her like cinderella. She always is cleaning and babysitting and shit. They don't like me, Well the didn't they are finally starting to like me. Me and my GF's one year anniversary in in 12 days. Her "gaurdians" don't trust me and her. We can't be alone because they don't trust us, well mainly they don't trust me.
She can hardly ever come over, and when she does my mom tells them that she watches us while she is here.. Not!, My mom doesn't like her gaurdians. and lets us do what ever we want. My mom knows we have had sex. here aunts and uncle think me and her are both still virgins.
So anyway now that you know her situation my question is: How do I get her aunts and uncle to trust us more and shit??

Re: Over Protective!! help...
hold a ball at your house, and then send a fairy to her house in a pumpkin carriage and have her come to the ball wearing a beautiful dress and glass slippers.

Re: Over Protective!! help...
Just keep doing what you're doing, don't piss them off, be polite and corteous and make your girl happy.
In time, they'll learn to tolerate you, and then eventually like you.
It's because her mum was murdered... that's huge, and devastating, and that's why they're so overprotective.

I agree because I've been there.
It has nothing to do with murder though, my mother happens to be a conservative roman-catholic. Just keep on keepin' on and they will soon realize just how good you are together.

Re: Over Protective!! help...
Yea we've been together almost a year, she wants to get engaged this year, her aunts and uncle thought we were one of those relationships that just go away after a few weeks,
Now that they know i'm gonna be around for a while they are starting to like me.

I wouldn't advise getting engaged if you've only been going out for one year, not to mention the fact that neither of you are old enough to vote yet.

Re: Over Protective!! help...
It's probably not going to change very much. My mother is extremely cautious about that shit. But my old man's fine with it. I don't see mother changing at any stage. But, somehow just prove that you two can be trusted, and maybe they'll relent.. But then maybe not.. Whatever. Good luck.

Murder/suicide
Sorry...My first murder/suicide of the year!
Anyways...I'm gonna agree with the dude who said to keep doing what you're doing. They'll accept you eventually.
Sooner or later they will realise that you and your missus love each other and that you're a decent guy.
All the best mate.
Happy new year to all.

Re: Over Protective!! help...
Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions on this,
Also can anyone tell me what this means?
the other night something in my mind told me that I have to go to my GF's house new years eve, Not to see my GF though, Well yes to see my GF, But my mind kept telling me to spend time with her family. (Aunts and Uncle)
So they said I could come over but only until 10:30, I was think ok WTF!? But I figured I would talk my way into staying longer once I was there. (She lives 4 blocks away from me) So I go over there and when 10:30 rolled around, we asked if I could stay a little longer, her aunt said 5 more min., After 5 min. I ask her aunt and uncle if I could stay a little longer they said I could stay til 11.
I really wasn't going to try and push for longer they would of prolly kicked me through the window or something, BTW they are like 50 or 60.
The whole point of me telling you this is to ask: Why did my mind insist that I go to my GF's house and spend time with her AND her FAMILY. Once I was there I didn't really talk to them at all really..
Thoughts on this?? ^^^^

Re: Over Protective!! help...
Up to about the early 80's it was social etiquette that a young man or woman would leave the others house by 22.30, so to prevent any rumours etc.
But in your case they probably just wanted you to go so they could have freaky-deaky -monkey sex while hanging from the light fittings :P

Her older aunt is about 60, She is prolly 5'2" I dunno if you ever seen that leader of north korea, Short- Big Round stomach, big glasses and black hair,
I swear if you dyed that korean guys hair white and gave him boobs it would be an exact replica of her aunt. The uncle is just a regular looking old man,<< Interperet that however you want..lol
So Please don't even make me get those pictures in my mind, I find that quite hilarious, You prolly would too if you seen her family, and on top of that picturing them having "Freaky-Deaky monkey sex" I think I'm scarred for life,

Re: Over Protective!! help...
Get her to organise a dinner at her house that night.
Dress nicely, give small gifts. Show them you're an upstanding person and you may never have to worry about them being over protective again.

If only it were that easy, I buy my GF more expensive things so they realize i'm not some womenizer or bum or something, A few months back they made a comment to my GF, It was something along the lines of she should get a new BF, one that has more money.
That just pissed me off right there, But I kept my mouth shut and acted like it was never said, Her aunts want her to be with someone who has decent money, I don't have "Decent Money" but I have money, I not rich or poor I'm average. They should Be happy I have a job, most 16yr old kids don't want jobs or depend on everyone else,
So I buy her small things quite often, ever since they said that I started buying her stuff quite frequently. Spent a decent amount on her at christmas. Her aunt looked shocked at first, Over the past month they have shown me a higher amount of respect, They are earning more of my respect in turn.
I just hope the give her more freedom and trust her more, They may not realize it, but my GF told me she moving into my house the day she turn 18. Her Aunts want her to stay til she like 21 so that she can help around the house and babysit. Whenever they say that to her, she just like Ok..
Does anyone else Have problems like this??

You buy her stuff to impress her family? Sounds like you're in love with the aunt...
