what up all. got a question or two. see, there is this woman that works in the cafeteria at my job. i dont know if she is married, has a boyfriend, or whatever. i cant just ask flat out, because, you know, i dont want work to be 'weird'. she is very pretty and looks me in the eye a lot when we BRIEFLY talk. see, i never really know what to say. ill usually just laugh a little and say things like "ya". stupid shit that wont really get one anywhere with a woman. what are some things i could bring up, or say, so im not directly hitting on her but she might think i am a little interested? seems like every time i talk to her, i walk away kicking myself in the ass because i act like a fool. thanks in advance.

tell her a joke like "why do women have breast?"..."so you have somthing to stare at when you're talking to them!"

but seriously just ask her if she wants to get some coffee or somthing. id never use that line, i hate coffee. but any way be suave about, be aggressive. if she says shes taken, then blow it off, nothing lost, cept maybe a shred of dignity.

Well you see that might work but it is a little too straight forward for what im trying to do. i basically want to flirt but not make it REAL obvious. you know, light flirting. i need something i can bring up that doesnt sound forced, or something stupid like the weather. nice idea on the family guy quote, however i dont think i would be able to keep my job if she didnt like it.

LOOLL, but I'm not quite sure why..

You should really try to run into her when she is not working. Hitting on women while they are at work, especially if they are serving you something for consumption, is possibly the worst time to hit on them. Because:

1. They are at work and do not have the time to talk to you.

2. If they do not like their job, they will relate you to things they do not like.

3. You will become easily forgettable since they are thinking about doing their job while they are working.

4. If they are pretty, then you can probably guess that you are not the only one hitting on them while they are working. Especially if they are servers.

What you should do...

A. Talk about her workday, specifically when she starts and ends.

Ex: "Boy, today is a very long day for me. I'm probably going to be here until ## o'clock. How about you? Been a long day? How much more time do you have to put in?"

Something blue collar sounding.

B. Try to bump into her a little after she gets off. Find out what she does when she is not working.

Ex: "Are you heading out now? Got something interesting planned/Going somewhere interesting now that you are out of here?"

Most likely she will reply with a honest answer. Something like:

"Going to a so-and-so concert."

C. Show her that you were paying attention while showering her with gifts (something cheap).

Ex: Find something small and cheap that has to do with that so-and-so band she went to go see after work. Give it to her a week later while saying... "I don't know why I had this in my closet/My friend gave me this as a gift at-some-point-of-time ago. I vaguely remember it was you who said you like so-and-so. Although, I also like so-and-so, I felt you should have being that you seem to be a bigger fan than I."

D. Re-initiate conversations as a person she actually recognizes now. Some time after giving her that gift try to start a conversation about the gift you gave her.

Ex: "So what did you stick that so-and-so button/badge/lapel pin on?"

By this time you should have already researched a little bit more on what this girl is into having searched around for that gift. You can now start conversations based on what you have found on your search, but play it off as if you've known the shit for years.

Hopefully, you will be witty enough to slide in a bit of flirting during one of these conversations. Now go my young padawan. You must complete this task before you become a Jedi.
